Is there a trade deal with China? Is it really a deal or just a pull-back to status quo ante? Is Trump advancing US interests in this well-executed trade battle plan or was this poorly conceived from the start . . . and harmful?

I think the jury's still out, but I haven't seen that the Chinese are offering much in compromise - and it's not even clear if there's going to be an agreement. But it's clear they are working on something and I'm sure Trump will sell it as the greatest trade deal ever. The proof will be in the details.

Trump said:

The ECB is expected to cut interest rates for the 7th time, and yet, “Too Late” Jerome Powell of the Fed, who is always TOO LATE AND WRONG, yesterday issued a report which was another, and typical, complete “mess!” Oil prices are down, groceries (even eggs!) are down, and the USA is getting RICH ON TARIFFS. Too Late should have lowered Interest Rates, like the ECB, long ago, but he should certainly lower them now. Powell’s termination cannot come fast enough!

Yeah, this is crazy as shirt. Just like whatever moron that was who said that those jobs screwing iPhones together are all coming here - like that would happen and like people would be lining up for those jobs which are sure to be low paying.

Those Iphone jobs are moving to Brazil. Prices will go up because of higher labor costs.

And the effects will be felt in wave since larger metro areas will feel it first, rippling out to rural.

Just like economic hardships ripple across US in waves some areas don't feel effects for months relative to other regions.

Just like someone said earlier, Trump is basically recreating the pandemic without the actual virus. The inflation caused by this won’t be global though, it will be localized to the US and probably far worse.

Hey, I know this one.

Well we're living here in Allentown
And they're closing all the factories down
Out in Bethlehem they're killing time
Filling out forms
Standing in line
