So tonight is night 1 of the Democratic convention and we'll hear from John Kasich and Michelle Obama. Thought it would be good to have a central place as the old PDB days.

I didnt even realize that was Stephen Stills playing guitar on For What Its Worth, and I even saw CSN in concert back in the day.
Really?! Just learned a lot about CSN in an awesome series called Laurel Canyon; never realized the breadth of his talent, or that Stills had LA roots.Did you know that he grew up partially in Covington, LA, and attended LSU?

They were part of the soundtrack of my youth. Their music can really take me back. I heard a podcast with Neil Young not long ago, he’s a really kind, kinda quiet guy. Not exactly what I expected. His music had an edge to it, compared to the other three.

That's what news networks do. She's just now figuring this out?Sounds like AOC has a point
=============================
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) ripped NBC for a tweet that noted she "did not endorse" 2020 nominee Joe Biden in her 60-second speech at the Democratic National Convention, with the first-term congresswoman calling it "completely unacceptable, disappointing, and appalling."
"In one of the shortest speeches of the DNC, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez did not endorse Joe Biden," NBC News said in its original post to the network's more than 7.7 million followers.
"This is completely unacceptable, disappointing, and appalling," Ocasio-Cortez wrote in response to her 8.3 million followers. "The DNC shared the procedural purpose of my remarks to media WELL in advance. @NBC knew what was going to happen & that it was routine."
"You waited several hours to correct your obvious and blatantly misleading tweet. It sparked an enormous amount of hatred and vitriol, & now the misinfo you created is circulating on other networks," she added. "All to generate hate-clicks from a pre-recorded, routine procedural motion."........................

She isn't just figuring it out. She's pointing it out. Also making it clear that the main stream media doesn't just do things like that to the right. They've always done it to both sides.
While a little skeptical of the NBC headline last night, i was disappointed that AOC didnt at least *mention* the current Democratic candidate for President, which is Biden.. While it might not tacitly imply her disapproval of him (although it very well might)- she has a huge platform and the ear of many, many young Americans and i think even a mere mention of Biden from her might have gone a long way towards giving Biden a tiny amount of ‘cred’ (for lack of a better word) amongst the younger demographic... FWIW i am in agreement with AOC that we need more Progressive leadership in the US, but that cant happen til we banish the obese orange Cheeto out of the White House and into Federal PMITA prison... Biden is our ONLY chance to do that.
