Not long ago Kari Lake proclaimed Arizona's abortion law was a great law and wanted it the law of the state.

Now that she has gotten her way, she is lobbying for it to be repealed.

As I have been saying since 2022, the overwhelming vast majority of women aren't going to vote for the man who proudly boasts that he got rid of Roe V. Wade. Nor are those women going to vote for a forced birther politician.

Turns out, republican belief in "pro life" was all just lies to get votes. Who is surprised? I sure am not.

How many forced birthers will do the same about face?

Arizona Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake is actively lobbying state lawmakers to overturn a 160-year-old law she once supported that bans abortion in almost all cases, a source with knowledge of her efforts told CNN.

Does this woman have to die for the GOP in TX to wake up? WTF is the TX Supreme Court doing? They stayed the federal judge’s decision, and then took the weekend off? This is infuriating. She is in danger now that she is leaking amniotic fluid.

Do you really think her death would change the GOP on this issue?

It’ll be just like after a mass shooting

Lots of thoughts and prayers and that’s it

Maybe not the crazy misogynists, but rank and file voters? I would think so.

She will likely die. The rank-and-file will send thoughts and prayers, then vote GOP yet again because God, Guns & Gays.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — A pregnant Texas woman who sought court permission for an abortion in an unprecedented challenge to one of the most restrict bans in the U.S. has left the state to obtain the procedure, her attorneys said Monday.

The announced came as Kate Cox, 31, was awaiting a ruling from the Texas Supreme Court over whether she could legally obtain an abortion under narrow exceptions to the state’s restrictive bans. A judge gave Cox permission last week but that decision was put on hold by the state’s all-Republican high court.

“Her health is on the line. She’s been in and out of the emergency room and she couldn’t wait any longer,” said Nancy Northup, president and CEO of the Center for Reproductive Rights, which was representing Cox.

Cox was believed to be the first woman in the U.S. to ask a court for permission for an abortion since Roe v. Wade was overturned last year. Her lawsuit quickly became a high-profile test of bans in Texas and a dozen other GOP-controlled states, where abortion is prohibited at nearly all stages of pregnancy.……

Since she left the state to get an abortion, I'm sure Paxton is gonna try to find some other way to charge her.

I’m not sure if the TX “bounty” law has been stayed, but if it has not then anyone in the state can sue anyone who “helped” her leave the state. I do not think they can sue her though I could be wrong about this.

So multiple people could sue her husband, parents, brothers & sisters, her Uber driver, etc. anyone who helped her plan and leave the state. Multiple people could sue as I understand it.

And everyone who sues would receive at least $10k. So you can imagine how much chaos this could cause.

But she had no choice. She tried to do it within the rules and we can all see how that went. Now her case is very public and she is a sitting duck for these types of lawsuits that can financially devastate her family on top of the physical, emotional and mental trauma of losing a wanted child and the extra expense of having to travel out of state.

Forced birth people are evil. I wouldn’t have said this before Roe got overturned. I thought they were well-intentioned but dictatorial about imposing their religious beliefs on other people who don’t share their particular theology. But they have revealed themselves. I will never consider that they have sincere beliefs again. They just want to control and punish women.

Well, I'm sure they're (her lawyer) gonna make sure she and whoever helped her are protected. If that means keeping that secret, hopefully they manage. Makes me sick that Texas is basically trapping her. Awful.

And the TX Supreme Court has now ruled against Kate Cox. In other words they admit they don’t care if she dies, or loses the ability to have another child - which she wants to do, BTW. They are punishing women who aren’t seeking abortions, but who need them as a medical necessity.

It couldn’t be clearer that they think women are lower beings who don’t deserve the benefits of modern medicine to provide better outcomes. They must adhere to barbaric religious views.

There will never be any exceptions that will satisfy them, exceptions are a complete sham and a lie.

This is how little value Kate Cox has to them. They are looking at a real medical situation and parsing words like it’s a parking ticket. 😡😡😡😡😡

Next up on the Christo-authoritatrian agenda: birth control and covenant marriage. It’s not just Texas. MO is trying to one-up TX. It is MO that has also had a law proposed that will put women in jail for getting abortions.

If MO bans no fault divorces, it will result in a huge decline in marriages in Missouri. People will just live together.

I'll be looking for the Go Fund Me for Kate Cox to destroy the Texas law.

it could be as simple as thousands of people "admit" they helped her, then they would have to spend tons of money and time to find out who really did, could that tie it up in court for quite a long time?
