This organisation and its reach is seriously scary. When the head of the New York Police Department's second-largest police union openly shows his support of this "organisation" then something is seriously wrong!

The head of the New York Police Department's second-largest police union gave a television interview Friday afternoon while sitting in front of a mug emblazoned with QAnon imagery and slogans.

The mug behind Mullins featured the word "QANON" and the hashtag #WWG1WGA, which stands for "where we go one, we go all," a popular slogan among QAnon supporters. At the center of the mug was a large letter Q, which refers to a supposed government insider who, according to QAnon supporters, posts cryptic clues on the Internet about the "deep state."

More than a year ago, the FBI reportedly assessed that QAnon was a dangerous movement that was likely to inspire its most extreme members to commit violent acts of domestic terrorism.

In recent weeks, QAnon supporters have been posting videos of themselves reciting an oath and repeating the "where we go one, we go all" catchphrase that is seen on the mug. They say they are preparing "digital soldiers" for an apocalyptic reckoning, when thousands of "deep state" pedophiles will be arrested and prosecuted at military courts at Guantanamo Bay.

The House is currently voting to remove her from her committee assignments.

I think it is truly sad that this vote took place. Had McCarthy shown any leadership whatsoever, this all could have been avoided. Why is it the D's sole responsibility to hold people to account? Despite the rhetoric and lies we hear the R's spout in their endless whataboutisms, the D's haven't hesitated to hold their own to account.

So Q lady is in front of the House saying she knows Q is false. Her wording is telling, though. She intends to take no personal responsibility for her beliefs.

She said “i was allowed to believe” disinformation. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

“Ms. Greene, why do you think that someone who can so easily be led to believe such obviously bat shirt crazy nonsense should serve in Congress?”

I’m trying to not pay too much attention to her, but she evidently didn’t really apologize for anything, her speech was carefully worded. She said the school shootings happened, but never apologized for the pain she caused the families of the victims. At least one mom was on tv saying she had interacted with her in the past to try to get her to recognize the shootings happened and she wouldn’t listen.

She didn’t address her violent ideas about punishing democratic politicians at all that I heard.

She also said she had stopped believing in Q in 2018, but she has posted many Q related conspiracies since then.

She needed to have her committee assignments removed, and it’s to the GOP’s eternal shame that they wouldn’t do it.

Poor Ben Collins. What a shirtty beat.

The thing to remember about Q is how violent it is. They don’t just have crazy conspiracy ideas, a very large part of it is fantasizing about gruesome public executions of people they don’t like. This new one, man, they are supposedly secretly hanging members of the Deep State in front of the WH in broad daylight. This is just irrational. People who are cheering this on would do any number of horrible violent things.

This is a great take on this unhinged individual.

What do you mean a group whose primary premise is that world leaders rape and kill children and drink their blood for power has violent fantasies? j/k

It's definitely very dystopian. Along with the crazy pedo-cabal thing they're obsessed with ideas of military tribunals, executions, etc. It's deeply fascist in the very worst way.

And the Q congresswoman posted 4 days ago that people who oppose her (Democrats, basically) are “pedos”.

The fact that Rs took her laughable lies about leaving Q behind her in 2018 as truth, or more likely that they just think her brand of fascist rhetoric is fine, is a sign of a party in serious decline.

That's the rock and a hard place dilemma with situations like this

If you call attention to it, you're giving them the attention they want, need and crave

Plus they get to play the victim role they love to play claiming they are being unfairly targeted and attacked

On the other hand if you ignore it that plays into the whole "silence equals consent" and gives the impression that it's okay
and the more people say and do and get away with without consequence the more people will do it in the future

    Interesting point from Megan McCain.

.......With the GOP facing increasing pressure to reprimand or even expel Greene from the House, McCain on Monday grumbled that Republicans as a whole have been unfairly maligned due to the controversy surrounding the Georgia lawmaker. The View co-host’s conclusion was that liberals associating Republicans with Greene will push conservatives to rally around and embrace her more.

After fellow co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Joy Behar both said Greene “is the Republican Party now” and the “Republican Party is the MAGA Party”—noting that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has remained silent on her—McCain retorted that this type of commentary will ultimately backfire.

“I think the more that the mainstream media continues to come out and say that all Republicans are birthers and crazy people and we believe in space lasers, then the more it makes traditional Republicans—and there’s still a lot of them in the country—go back into their corners,” she declared. “And this is becoming very tribal, and I would argue that this is how we got Trump in the first place and that there’s just no nuance in it.”.......

I’m not that pessimistic just yet, Eeyore, lol. They are a distinct minority. We who are not part of the crazy do need to speak up more, though. Their influence is out sized compared to their numbers.

And I think it’s dubious of McCain to grumble about democrats who are at least trying to combat the crazy without also calling out the cowards in her own party. Maybe she did call them out, but precious few Republicans are willing to do that.

Even Liz Cheney went along with Q in the person of the Q lady congresswoman. They all need to speak up or they own it.

If it were democrats having an issue with crazy, we all know that the Rs wouldn’t hesitate to label all democrats as crazy. They already do it with the socialism and communism labels. So Meghan McCain can just go kick rocks. Hypocrite.

That's not an interesting point. That's a cop out. The co-host should have responded simply by asking McCain if she believes that the Republicans that she is talking about actually believe the things that she is saying and stands for. They should have asked why the Republicans she is talking about would allow someone who espouses the shirt she espouses to label themselves a Republican.

Groups fight back against stereotypes all the time. If Republicans remain silent to the things people like Greene crap out their mouth then their silence equates to tacit approval and agreement.
    • Greene is a registered Republican
    • Greene says and believes batshit crazy and provably false things
    • Republicans don't distance themselves from the batshit crazy and provably false things she says.
    • Therefore, Republicans must agree with and believe the same things that Greene believes
Is that an unreasonable conclusion to make about Republicans based on their silence? No, I don't think it is. What McCain is saying essentially is that the media is going to push Republicans into believing batshit crazy lies and birtherism and crazy conspiracies that they otherwise wouldn't believe in. If the media is indeed that strong then they should just start saying that Republicans want to convict and jail trump and all of his supporters over and over again. By that logic, according to McCain, Republicans should start believing that.
