The failure comes just more than a month after the company’s seventh Starship flight also ended in an explosive failure. The back-to-back mishaps occurred in early mission phases that SpaceX has easily surpassed previously, indicating serious setbacks for a program Musk has sought to speed up this year.

No one else is going to buy X at that price so he sold it to himself. This sale is needed to raise capital to pay back his creditors.

I'm shocked his creditors went along with this. If I was owed 5 billion in a loan. I wouldn't take 5 billion in Elon's AI company as compensation.

His creditors are Trump supporters, aren’t they? I think they are. They want to see the chaos and bring the US down a few notches.

Forgive me if I sound stupid, but doesn’t he have cash?
The richest pets in the world can’t pay his bills?

It’s a Ponzi scheme, plain and simple—Moving paper money from Xai to X, creating the illusion of profitability. Eventually, the whole thing will collapse when there aren’t anywhere he can turn to. It’s not a question of if—just when.

    Still weird.
If I was worth six hundred billion dollars, I’d at least keep two billion in cash lying around to pay debts.

His money is mostly tied to Tesla stocks. He used Tesla stocks as collateral to secure the loans to purchase Twitter. So if and when Tesla stock crashes to a certain point, he will face margin call. He will either force to sell some of his Tesla stocks to have enough equity to meet the broker’s requirements for his loans or find another source of equity.
The problem is when a company insider selling its stock, the stock usually will continue to fall. By selling it to xAI, he can now use xAI valuation as collateral for his loans to purchase Twitter.
