The failure comes just more than a month after the company’s seventh Starship flight also ended in an explosive failure. The back-to-back mishaps occurred in early mission phases that SpaceX has easily surpassed previously, indicating serious setbacks for a program Musk has sought to speed up this year.

Every time someone buys a Tesla, Elon Musk gets richer. He then uses that money to undermine democracy—not just in the U.S., but in other countries as well.

Why would anyone willingly fund a man who turns around and uses their money to push a white nationalist agenda both at home and abroad? There's a reason Tesla has become a toxic brand across Europe.
I'm a bit angry that Khanna didn't at least mention that the scientists who contributed to research responsible for practically every vaccine recently (~ last 20 years) will lose their jobs. The people responsible for our weather forecast. So on and so on. You pointed this out before. The military budget is known for bloat, yet it's untouched. Subsidies for oil...subsidies for Elon Musk remains untouched. No, he will get more contracts, let alone access to all treasury data...likely his competitors as well.

This is wishful thinking, imho. The board is filled with his acolytes. They will not even oust him. As a matter of fact, they have benefited vastly. These are the same people who voted to award musk with an additional 40 or 50 billion by bringing to a vote after a judge ruled against a prior compensation. Think about this, the Nvidia ceo owns ~3% of nvidia. Bill Gates has a ~1.5% ownership of microsoft. Musk owns ~20% of tesla. Musk continually pushed to reward himself as ceo.

Another point, when that papa John's ceo made racist remarks, he was quickly ousted and that brand distanced themselves from that ceo.
Yeah, I was pointing out what a non-corrupt board of directors would have a responsibility to do to protect Tesla shareholders.

Anyone who actually owns Tesla stock is probably at fault as well. Musk’s pathology has been on display for a couple of years at least. His drug use is evident. His pathological lying has been exposed. People who were holding Tesla stock have had time to divest.

For years he took in subsidies across his companies. Yet, as soon as as tesla's stock skyrocketed, he turns around and shirt on the government that allowed a non competitive product stay afloat.

And to shirt on Democrats to boot. He wouldn’t have a business or his wealth if it wasn't for Democrats.

And this started exactly when Warren and some other democrats dared use him as an example on why the rich should pay more taxes and referenced how government through subsidies made him a rich person. He's a petty charlatan.

Yeah tesla stock is really a meme stock. Charlie munger said this about tesla..."My thoughts are two," Munger said. "I would never buy [Tesla], and I would never sell it short." Funily enough, bill gates should've heed that advice. He tried to short tesla and got burned. Musk even ridiculed him publicly. That's the character Musk is. He is protecting this invincibility label.

A good example in the dichotomy between a real stock and tesla was after one of last year's earnings call. Apple had great profits. But somehow, investors deemed their demand had plateau because of its china's market perception. Apple's stock fell despite really great profits. Contrast that with tesla. Poor earnings, really abysmal demand, and large supply. Musk comes out after and promises even higher production. Based on the fundamental, tesla's stocks fell. So of course...not long after musk promised autopilot by August and optimus will be in every factory. Tesla's stock bounced back immediately and skyrocketed yet again.

This is a company that sells cars, but labels itself as a tech company. To investors that qualifies it as a growth company, therefore its value is more than the next 10 car companies!!! But what technology does it bring???? He buys nvidia chips for ai research...yet he gives them to his private company in Twitter. If that doesn't scream illegal, then most certainly investors are being defrauded. Of course I've mentioned optimus and autopilot before.

Yes, I agree. His stock owners are a problem and they along with his fan bois will prop him up at every turn.

Even as a tech company, its valuation doesn’t make sense. One reason is many index funds and retirement funds hold a heavy percentage of Tesla stock in their portfolio.

It's extremely strange stock tbh. It once had a evalutation based on FSD, and a fleet of driverless Teslas dominating the roads. That appears to be Google:

AI is something he latched onto to try, and prop up the stock price.

Nevermind, the AI bubble could burst any second, and probably will in the next 3 years:

Tesla is an insanely overvalued stock at $50. It's stock price completely negates any talk about rational markets, etc.

I do think Elon begging people to buy means the sell numbers are going to be horrible. He lost the EU completely as a market. There is no MAGA there to replace sales to liberals.

Begging maga to fill the void. We have trump and his cabinets blatantly selling tesla. We have large trump cut ups saying "thanks for supporting tesla" at recharge stations. So we are then lectured for being angry by the Republicans who attacked a list of corporations because of wokeness. That we must separate the 20% owner and the company when these Maga are clearly associating tesla with them. It's extremely insulting to our intelligence.

I also love the hypocrisy of trying to paint people vandalizing Tesla's, in a clear political statement, as terrorist. Meanwhile, your first act as president was to pardon people who vandalized, and trespassed on the Capitol.

Tesla sale in China, its second most important market (38% of its annual sale in 2024), is crashing. Sales were down 49% year over year in February and 11% compared to February 2024. Of course, it blamed the Chinese new year for the sale slowdown. However, there was also a Chinese new year in 2024 and every year before that. Tesla is also having a difficult time getting its FSD approved by the Chinese government while other Chinese EVs already have FSD in China.

Tesla is getting beat in China by the Chinese EV companies due better price and tech and it doesn’t have anything to do with politics.

This is why the DoD meeting story is so interesting. I am not sure what the end game is but I am betting that it is related to Tesla and the Chinese market.

Just from a practical standpoint, alienating your core customer base has got to be one of the most idiotic business moves of all time.

The places that have most Trump supporters don’t even have charging stations or are hesitant to EVs.

Buying a Tesla isn’t like buying a pack of Bud Light. It’s a major purchase. You can’t count on a sudden rebound of sales.
