The failure comes just more than a month after the company’s seventh Starship flight also ended in an explosive failure. The back-to-back mishaps occurred in early mission phases that SpaceX has easily surpassed previously, indicating serious setbacks for a program Musk has sought to speed up this year.

8 recalls in 15 months for an overpriced junky status symbol….and brought to you by he is who is attempting to gut our federal government.

How is that manufacturing mistake fixed? better glue? doubtful. maybe a bunch of sheet metal screws more trucks for the government.
    :p

Yes, exactly. Seriously, do we have nobody doing national security at all?

There should be someone with their hair on fire over this. He doesn’t need access to that kind of information.
To answer your first question: um, no.

There is no way in hell that idiot should get any military or top secret access.

"I'm not going to root against Tesla. There are 20,000 people who work in my district who make a living off of this. They're building electric vehicles that ultimately are good for the climate. Have the protests and the conversation and criticism of musk just don't take it out on a company where you have workers, where you have engineers, where you have scientists which are creating wealth for the country, which is helping the climate."

    Ro Khanna gets it.

Are you remotely self aware enough to understand why folks in this thread are accusing of...to put it mildly...hypocrisy?

Take a moment and think about the argument you are quoting.

I'll give you another push. There are other us makers of evs who aren't clouded in mysterious financial frauds, in bed with China, etc. Same logic in fact to your spacex argument.

Maybe Tesla’s board should take action. When a CEO becomes a liability, he should be gone.

    It’s long overdue, IMO.

For years he took in subsidies across his companies. Yet, as soon as as tesla's stock skyrocketed, he turns around and shirt on the government that allowed a non competitive product stay afloat.

Just a reminder that musk is a scoundrel who preys on this idea that he's a genius. There is little record that he was ever a phd candidate at stanford...as in the admission office sent a letter to a reporter stating that they had no record of a person with his name ever on record. He didn't even have a bachelor's at the time! Why is this important? At the time, to get meetings with silicon valley investors, one requirement was to have just that. No big deal right. Small white lie. However it's a trend of deceit. Just follow his list of lies and manipulations like this supposedly fully autonomous robot. He's again manipulating the market. He boasts of playing video games all day and there are logs of him doing that. He then turns around and dare say we need longer work hours? Fsd? How safe is a tesla when it is the the deadliest brand?

So why is his autopilot junk? He believes he can simply use cheap cameras like our phone device. People believe his shenanigans and turn on that fsd to their detriment. And remember tesla has a warning that fsd must be human assisted at all times in their legal docs. All the while musk prances around telling everyone it's entirely safe and should be used everywhere. For 10 years!!!! And it's true, we do have self driving cars in limited form in i think vegas and san fransisco...just not teslas.

Anyway, ive ranted enough. here's a real progress in autonomous robots.

Boston robotics with little fanfare has great achievements and currently is owned by Hyundai.

Every time someone buys a Tesla, Elon Musk gets richer. He then uses that money to undermine democracy—not just in the U.S., but in other countries as well.

Why would anyone willingly fund a man who turns around and uses their money to push a white nationalist agenda both at home and abroad? There's a reason Tesla has become a toxic brand across Europe.

Yep, and instead of placing the blame squarely on Musk, who is carrying out illegal actions with impunity, he blames politicians who have the guts to say what is needed - that unless Tesla separates itself from Musk it can and should fail. Same with Space-X, same with StarLink.

After being publicized, Musk’s controversial visit was canceled. Or so they say. Musk is a liar, and has no transparency in what he is doing.

This is wishful thinking, imho. The board is filled with his acolytes. They will not even oust him. As a matter of fact, they have benefited vastly. These are the same people who voted to award musk with an additional 40 or 50 billion by bringing to a vote after a judge ruled against a prior compensation. Think about this, the Nvidia ceo owns ~3% of nvidia. Bill Gates has a ~1.5% ownership of microsoft. Musk owns ~20% of tesla. Musk continually pushed to reward himself as ceo.

Another point, when that papa John's ceo made racist remarks, he was quickly ousted and that brand distanced themselves from that ceo.
