Anxiety surges as Donald Trump may be indicted soon: Why 2024 is 'the final battle' and 'the big one'

WASHINGTON – It looks like American politics is entering a new age of anxiety, triggered by an unprecedented legal development: The potential indictment of a former president and current presidential candidate.

Donald Trump's many legal problems – and calls for protests by his followers – have generated new fears of political violence and anxiety about the unknowable impact all this will have on the already-tense 2024 presidential election

I’ll reframe this is a more accurate way, Are Presidents above the law? This new age was spurred into existence when home grown dummies elected a corrupt, mentally ill, anti-democratic, would be dictator as President and don’t bother to hold him responsible for his crimes, don’t want to because in the ensuing mayhem and destruction, they think they will be better off. The man is actually advocating violence (not the first time). And btw, screw democracy too. If this feeling spreads, we are In deep shirt.

This goes beyond one treasonous Peice of work and out to all his minions. This is on you or should we be sympathetic to the idea of they can’t help being selfish suckers to the Nation’s detriment? Donald Trump is the single largest individual threat to our democracy and it‘s all going to boil down to will the majority of the GOP return to his embrace and start slinging his excrement to support him?

On the same day that Fox News hosts ravedover Donald Trump’s trade war tensions with Colombia, the MAGA network’s personalities called for the president’s face to be added next to George Washington and Abraham Lincoln on Mount Rushmore.

“I think there’s a great case for it,” Fox News contributor Jason Chaffetz gushed Monday.

Just a week after Trump’s return to the White House, conservatives have been effusive in their praise for the new president amid his “shock and awe” flood of executive orders, threats to annex other territories, and immigration raids across the country.

“Other than the almighty, who has accomplished more in seven days than @POTUS Trump? To be fair, we have to keep in mind that Trump didn’t rest on the seventh day,” MAGA-boosting billionaire Bill Ackman tweeted.

The president’s other top sycophants, meanwhile, have also begun campaigning to have his visage chiseled in stone to the historic monument in South Dakota. “What are we waiting on? Donald Trump’s face should be on Mount Rushmore. We got the votes in the House. We got the votes in the Senate. I know a guy who is gonna sign it named Donald John Trump,” former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski told far-right podcaster Benny Johnson last week.…….

I am at loss for words. Do those people have no pride or honor left. It seems really surreal that grown adults who supposedly are fairly intelligent could even think that a suggestion like that had any merit... Its like half the country suddently contracted a serious brain-eating disease.

Didn’t he just spend the campaign slamming other countries for “sending us their criminals?”
    ===============

President Donald Trump on Monday told Republican members of the House that he would launch a plan to subject recidivist American criminals to a punishment never before used in the United States and last used in the United Kingdom nearly two centuries ago: Forced exile.

“We’re going to get approval ... to get them the hell out of our country,” he vowed. “Let’s see how they like it.”

Trump last week pardoned more than 1,500 people convicted of crimes linked to the the January 6, 2021 Capitol riots, including 169 who pleaded guilty to assaulting police officers in a bid to overturn the election in Trump’s favor.

Trump unveiled his plan to exile Americans as he spoke to House Republicans during a dinner for them at his Doral, Florida golf resort, about his administration’s operation implementing mass deportations of undocumented immigrants.

He boasted that his administration was “tracking down the illegal alien criminals” and “detaining them and we are throwing them the hell out of our country” with “no apologies.” He then pivoted to discussing the alleged relative viciousness of foreign criminals versus native-born American lawbreakers.……..

Trump acknowledged that the U.S. also has “many violent people” who “did not necessarily come here illegally, but have been arrested 30 times, 35 times. 41, 42 times.”

They have been arrested for crimes such as “murder and other heinous charges such as pushing people into subways” or striking people with baseball bats, or “punching old ladies in the face, knocking them unconscious and stealing their purse,” he noted.

“I don’t want these violent repeat offenders in our country any more than I want illegal aliens from other countries who misbehave,” Trump said. “They’re repeat offenders by many numbers. I want them out of our country. I also will will be seeking permission to do so,” he vowed.

“We’re going to get approval, hopefully, to get them the hell out of our country, along with others. Let them be brought to a foreign land and maintained by others for a very small fee, as opposed to be maintained in our jails for massive amounts of money, including the private prison companies that charge us a fortune. Let them be brought out of our country and let them live there for a while. Let’s see how they like it,” he said.……..

Next one of his cronies will say “exile is more expensive than free labor.” And then BOOM!!! Concentration camps.

Bunch of folks about to be in deep, deep trouble...

The man is a raven lunatic.. So now healthcare and green energy is Maxist lol ?

The use of Federal resources to advance Marxist equity, transgenderism, and green new deal social engineering policies is a waste of taxpayer dollars that does not improve the day-to-day lives of those we serve.”

Might be its own thing, but no shock... Trump is lying.

The CDWR shot down that claim and added that the federal government was responsible for restarting the water pumps after they were turned off for maintenance.

“The military did not enter California,” the department wrote in a post on the social platform X, published an hour past midnight EST Tuesday. “The federal government restarted federal water pumps after they were offline for maintenance for three days.”

“State water supplies in Southern California remain plentiful,” the CDWR added.

yep, but a lot of his own people. I am wondering if this is all to go after trans people.

Just days into his second term, President Donald Trump placed federal staff working on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives on paid leave—with the intent of eventually laying them all off. Workers who led DEI programs at University of Texas, University of Florida, and other higher education institutions located in states where conservative legislators eliminated DEI offices, programs, and positions have also recently lost their jobs. And then there are those workers who have lost their jobs at companies like Walmart, McDonald’s, and Meta, which have recently unraveled DEI efforts.

Amidst the dramatic saga, we too often forget that the professionals who abruptly lost their jobs are people. The overwhelming majority of these workers who have lost their jobs are Americans—and many of them are women of color. Their humanity deserves compassion and appreciation.

Media coverage about the roll back of DEI activities has largely been focused on which programs and policies are being phased out, why such regression is occurring at this time, and what conservatives are misunderstanding and misrepresenting. In the context of education, attention also has been placed on the anticipated effects on diverse students. But not enough emphasis is being devoted to the actual people who do high quality DEI work—professionals who are losing jobs, salaries, and stability.

Plus, these workers have then had to endure President Donald Trump and other powerful lawmakers baselessly misrepresent their work as “illegal and immoral” and accuse them of being unqualified so-called “DEI hires.”

Immediately after the White House announced that federal DEI workers were being placed on administrative leave, hosts and guests on conservative cable news networks celebrated. “Bye, Bye DEI,” posted Fox News on Instagram. Perhaps they didn’t realize that they were rejoicing the undeserved loss of American jobs. Maybe they didn’t understand that those people who spent years (in some instances decades) attempting to make America truly great for all citizens suddenly may not be able to afford to pay rent or their mortgages.

Some of these workers now won’t be able to afford daycare for their kids or elder care for their aging parents. Others have children in college whose tuition payments are suddenly in limbo because of politics. Some will lose their healthcare benefits. Too many of these workers will struggle to find other jobs because of the false narratives that are being told about DEI. Now is a terrible time for a DEI professional to find a job...........
