I figured we needed a thread specifically about the media.

There was a very big correction recently by the Washington Post.

That story was supposedly "independently confirmed" by CNN, NBC News, USA Today, ABC News, & PBS News Hour. How could they all have gotten the quote wrong if they actually independently confirmed the story?

Why do all the errors always go in one political direction and not closer to 50/50?

Media admitting again there is a deep state.

There is no such thing as the deep state. There is a civil service bureaucracy that TFG wants to do away with. The civil service act, irc, passed either during or after Grant’s terms was designed to eliminate precisely the deep state that TFG would create by stuffing fawning sycophants into government positions in control of the bureaucracy.

I would actually agree that the White House at times has way to close of a relationship with the media.

How do you feel about this? Is this like everything else with you: Morals, and ethics only applies to one party?

I don't like that and Hannity is a complete idiot, but the Greenwald post was just highlighting the obvious hypocrisy of Chuck Todd while all the cable networks especially NBC hire people from Democrat administrations.

I don't watch any corporate news except local news. It's all trash.

This is disingenuous. They hire people from both parties. Not just Democratic administrations.
If she wasn't an insurrectionist, it wouldn't have been a thing, case and point, former RNC Chair Michael Steele.

Do you think the local news you watch is trash just like all "corporate news?" You'd be consistent in thinking that even the local news you watch is "corporate news" trash if you're watching local stations owned by Sinclair. Here's some information about Sinclair and their local news.

I didn't say they only hire people from Democrat administrations. All the cable news shows hire people from both Republican and Democrat administrations.

NBC hosts had a public meltdown over their network hiring former RNC chair Ronna McDaniel, citing an appalling conflict of interest.

These same people were silent when their network hired:

    -Jen Psaki, former Biden spokesperson
    -Symone Sanders, former Biden/Harris aide
-John Brennan, former head of the CIA
    -Nicolle Wallace, former Bush/Cheney spokesperson
-Countless other trained liars of the US security state

Greenwald: This is part of "the liberal ethos that is so important to understand...

The reason they never objected to the hiring of obvious Democratic Party spokespeople and the heads of the CIA, the FBI, the NSA... is because they don't regard those US security state agencies as menacing or dishonest. They regard those as their benevolent allies...

There's only one entity, one institution, in the eyes of news corporations that are a bridge too far, and that is people who are associated with the Trump-led Republican party."

At least this gave us the priceless spectacle of Chuck Todd lamenting that NBC would lend its sacred "credibility" to someone like Ronna McDaniel.

Greenwald: "Every poll shows that there are few institutions held in lower esteem than large media corporations like NBC... They don't have any credibility in the eyes of the American people...

These people live in a dream world where they're respected and beloved and trusted by the public."

The funniest part was when Chuck Todd said they were lending NBC's credibility to McDaniel.

🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 NBC doesn't have any credibility outside of Washington DC and partisan Democrats.
