This just illustrates why lawyers for Fox were able to successfully defend Tucker by claiming no reasonable person expects to get facts from him.

How are people fooled by this? The minute I saw the fake claim on social media that the “windmills are all frozen” I was skeptical. There are windmills all over the North. It just didn’t make sense.

Ok... who wants to tell him...

He's actually making a reasonable point about focus on the people in power who can do something about the crisis. But, to pivot to Democratic Governors who've shut states down??? huh?

EDIT: I want to add something. This is how their grift works so well. They often bring up quite reasonable points, or reasonable sounding. Then they throw in something outlandish, and because it is jammed in between reasonable things, I wonder if the human brain then is more likely to accept that outlandish statement. It seems to work. Maybe you have to be somewhat agreeable to the idea. But it's kind of like an 8th grade band concert... Hey, I know that tune, sounds ok, HONK, someone missed a note, ok, it's ok again.. HONK, LOUD WRONG NOTES, hmm... Am I the only one that notices every time they screw up (other than the band director)?

Cruz is further tweaking his message. At least this sounds a bit more honest. Only took him a few tries to get there.

"Heidi and me, we lost power for two days," said Cruz, referring to his wife. "Our house was dark. We had no heat. We were all huddled around the fireplace because it was the only heat in the house, and after a couple of days [of] the girls being really cold and [temperatures] being in the teens or the 20s outside, our girls said 'Look, school has been canceled for the week. Can we take a trip and go somewhere warm?' And Heidi and I, as parents, we said 'OK, sure.'

"And so last night I flew down with them to the beach and then I flew back this afternoon," Cruz continued.

The senator intended to stay with his family through the weekend, "but as I was heading down there, you know, I started to have second thoughts almost immediately because the crisis here in Texas, you need to be here on the ground," he told host Sean Hannity.
"once my voters got really mad about it, I realized I needed to hurry back"

You know what actually bugs me... Cruz makes some good, reasonable points. And I think it's partially because Hannity is so twisted politically that it makes anyone else talking sound good.

We had an opportunity to go spend one night at a friend's house a few blocks away where it was warm, but we refused to leave our dogs in the cold dark house. When we had power we offered the same to multiple people who wouldn't leave their pets.

Screw Ted Cruz. Seriously. If I didn't think he was a big enough punk for licking the boots of the man who called his wife ugly, I sure think he's a punk now and I hope I get the opportunity to tell him that to his face one day.

I swear to God if the Democrats don't start the messaging with 'elitism' and shirt with this from Cruz.. I just think that shirt is served up on a platter here.

Their grift works so well because people want to believe the grift.

Strong work to all who donated and to AOC for organizing it and for heading to TX to help... https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/po...ef-heads-houston-after-blasting-cruz-n1258389

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., raised more than $2 million for relief efforts in Texas as of Friday afternoon before traveling to Houston to help in the recovery effort.

“Charity isn’t always a replacement for good governance, but we won’t turn away from helping people in need when things hit the fan,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.
