I'm sure polls won't change no matter what happens but I am hoping that Kamala absolutely destroys Trump with a healthy helping of petty bait designed to make him lose his mind and goad him into saying something unfortunate

I've said this before but I hope there is some fact checking thins time and Trump isn't allowed to rant about after birth abortions, immigrants eating cats, and lunchtime sex change operations for 3rd graders

And she now is by his side. And the previous wanna-bes are finding out just how fleeting their "agreement" was with him.

MTG in particular is in a trick bag- Return to vociferously supporting Trump that looks like Loomer wins. STOP supporting Trump ( loudly ) and run the risk of your base turning on you quickly.

And i have to think it aint just her having to make this decision.

The Springfield town hall had a bomb threat this morning, and some local Haitians are keeping their kids home from school out of fear. Trump is going on about it today - saying the Haitians “ruined” a beautiful place, and are killing and eating geese from the local ponds as well as pets. And the whole thing was just made up:

I hold the opinion he will be forced to do another debate when the polling from this debate hits in a week or two. I just assume she will see a floor of 3+ points, and that will force him into another debate.

They tried to cut him off several times, but he kept talking. Most of the time it was after she triggered him, so it didn’t help him.

If she gets a 2% bump after the debate, I think she should just do interviews, and not give him another debate. That bump would mean that many people have made up their minds, so she won’t have much to gain, but could lose support. Trump probably can’t do worse, so people aren’t going to abandon him from another comparable performance, and she probably isn’t going to do any better.

The biggest counterpoint to this is exposure. Plenty of people STILL have no idea who she really is, and 50+million viewer debates is a great introduction.

Also, the only way Trump does better next time is if he can rise above and let the personal insults roll off.
