The police were called on the people who were protecting their property from people who broke into their neighborhood protesting the police. Who needs to repeal the 2nd amendment when you have rogue Da’s to do the work for you.

I know this is high profile, but police seize guns every day in self defense claims. This is why you don't buy $1000 guns for carry pieces.

I own an Arsenal with a single .38 registered to me.

What was the nature of the search warrant? Was the rifle illegal? or Illegally modified?

There are a lot of missing pieces of information here.

What isn’t missing, is the hypocrisy of the DA.

City prosecutor Kim Gardner is investigating the incident. She said at the time: “Make no mistake: We will not tolerate the use of force against those exercising their First Amendment rights, and will use the full power of Missouri law to hold people accountable.”

There is that pesky 1st Amendment when it fits the narrative.

Left-"nothing could be more responsible as a gun owner then red flag laws, what could go wrong?"

Odd that you left out the paragraph directly before that.

However St Louis University law professor John Ammann told KMOV that under those protections you are not allowed to aim a gun unless there is a specific threat that someone is approaching or attempting to enter the home. Video footage showed that Mrs McCloskey appeared to be pointing a gun indiscriminately, with her finger on the trigger, rather than at a specific threat.

Do you think it's responsible to aim a gun- with your finger on the trigger- at people that are walking past your house?

When they break through the gates of my neighborhood, yes.

When their movement has been shown at ad nauseam burning and looting historic buildings, yes.

When the narrative that it is wrong to be “white” and justified if you attack someone who is white that appears to have more wealth than you, yes.

When you realize your white guilt will not help you when your lifestyle doesn’t fit the narrative, yes.

That article gives absolutely no context. You're being outraged for the sake of being outraged.

Firearms get sized all the time. The concealed carry instructor will even tell you to expect yours to be seized if you use it.

Apparently, after complaint of the lady pointing the pistol at people unwarranted an investigation was opened up, in which the rifle was seized during the search. The pistol wasn't seized, because it was in their lawyer's possession. He was holding it for non-tampering purposes, because he says it didn't work and the lady knew that at the time. Therefore, she wouldn't have been pointing a viable weapon at people.

Seizure of weapons during an investigation is common and it's taught to not carry expensive and/or rare weapons for personal defense, because of that. I don't think the rifle should have been taken, but it's part of the investigation, so be it.

they don’t get seized in scenarios like this. And die what it’s worth. I’m not outraged. I think it’s comical. Here are two white liberals turning on the “cause” when the “cause” showed up to their door.

Then the Da, who is allowing riots and looting of neighborhoods and business, does not address the people who illegally broke down a gate ti a private community. No no, she puts a warrant for the people defending their property form the criminals.

all the while a group of people claiming “defund the police” is a mere way of saying the police don’t need to be involved in petty matters, JUSTIFIES using the police to arrest and take the fire arms of the guilty white liberals.

this to me is comical. I am so glad I live in the sticks.

I think the article doesn't give a lot of context because right now, there is no context other than a political activist is a DA and stuff....
Were the weapons used? Is brandishing a weapon using the weapon? Honestly don't know.

What I do know is that they will win in court and they will sue the city and county and state and will probably be able to buy the whole private street they live on and put up a fence that can't be taken down by rioters.

What's the scenario though? Serious question because that article doesn't have anything resembling context. Did they point the weapons at persons that weren't actually on their property? Neither gun safety course I've taken would tell you that's ok. Someone claimed assault maybe?

I haven't had a chance to check any videos related to this, so I may just be missing that.

So, how do you classify them as liberals? Hint, they aren’t.

nobody broke a gate, it wasn’t damaged until after they started hysterically pointing guns at people who were walking by.

They over reacted, and brought the investigation on themselves, IMO. Read up on them, they have pissed off nearly everyone in their neighborhood by now ever since they moved into it.

This isn’t outrage worthy.
