Today it begins, Kamala has reached the point that she's the Democratic Party nominee:

There's video from today. this link has video from her first public appearance since Biden endorsed her:

She spent yesterday on the telephone for most of the day. I read that yesterday that she called the party leaders in all 50 states. That would take me three days.

She's renamed her YouTube channel, that's the where to go for video: https://www.youtube.com/@kamalaharris

This is her video on her channel from two hours ago:

To play it, start it, and then move it up to 5:47. This was one of those live videos which don't start at zero.

I've named this thread General Election 2024 Harris vs Trump

Trump needs an introduction post as well, a MAGA suporter ought to write it: @Farb, @SaintForLife , @Others, calling for someone to please introduce your GOP candidate for this 2024 general election thread.

Jesus says "I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father, but by me."
That's what I meant by stating the Bible truth regarding what determines people going to heaven or not.
"NOT BY WORKS"...Not by being a "good person" or by doing "good things".

Either you asked Jesus for forgiveness for your sins and his blood to cleanse you of those sins...or you didn't.
The Bible says to not neglect the assembling of believers.
Also "where two or more are gathered in my name, there I am..."
So then your statement regarding having one meeting and then that's it...that is NOT Biblical.
I benefit from hearing Pastor preach on scripture but I believe him that the Bible is the authority and he should only be expounding on scripture.
My wife and I are leaving home now to take our aunt out to dinner.
I just popped into this thread as she finished getting ready.
    Bye
Please actually mean the “bye” part this time. I know it’s hard to be a christian and actually do what you say you’ll do, but hopefully you mean it. Find a religion board. No one on a political board gives a flying fork about your religious POV.

The Bible says God created man and it was very good. The Bible says in whatever state you find yourself, be content.
Which god, though? Multiple choice question:

Based on scriptures and proven DNA evidence (the one that's used to argue for intelligent design), which god is more likely to have created humans?

    A. Yahweh
    B. Prometheus
    C. Kukulcán

MAGA only has Internet Trolls. There is no intellectual honesty and no ability to have reasoned discussion with MAGA.

When someone says Democrats undermined vaccines they are trolling you. There's no other rational explanation for such an ignorant statement.

Let’s not forget: Jesus was a brown-eyed refugee baby fleeing persecution.

There are no physical descriptions of Jesus anywhere from the time he allegedly lived, but just because he allegedly lived in the Middle East, it doesn't necessarily would make him brown eyed, or dark skinned for that matter.

The refugee characterization is also erroneous. The Bible passage says an angel told them to flee from Judea to Egypt, but a refugee is someone who crosses an international border, and both Judea and Egypt were within the Roman empire at the time.

Jesus preached love and acceptance—not just for his followers, but for everyone.
Also, no. You have to read the Bible in the context of the times it was written, and who it was directed to. It certainly wasn't everyone.

The passage regarding fleeing to and returning from Egypt was made up. It relates to Amos. That passage was about Israel leaving Egypt.

Well, if you ask me, the entire Jesus story is made up, but, every Bible version of Matthew 2:1-13 mentions Joseph, Mary, and the child; and an angel telling Joseph, after the magi have left, to flee to Egypt.

Every year, farmers in California’s Central valley heavily rely on the labor of hundreds of thousands of immigrant agricultural workers to grow and harvest their crops.

But for many in a region that produces one-quarter of the country’s food, president-elect Donald Trump’s promise to deport millions of undocumented migrants – a move that could result in national agricultural output falling by up to $60bn – is not a threat to their livelihoods.

Some just don’t seem to believe him. “I don’t see that there’s going to be a push to go chase anyone who’s willing to work on a farm,” says Tom Barcellos, who milks 1,600 Holstein cows on his farm in Tulare county.

As Trump’s tariffs and deportations threats grow louder, many Americans are at a loss to understand why voters in farming-dependent counties across the US are so loyal to the president-elect, backing him by a margin of three to one in November’s presidential election.

But farmers such as Barcellos say they trust Trump.……

The "bye" I posted yesterday was just for the day.
    This is "tomorrow"
....and people keep quoting me because they do give a flying fork.
If people would stop quoting me, this would end.

The passage is actually inspired by Hosea 11:1 (“When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son”). Which is a pretty good example of how the Gospels were crafted — the writers pretty much played mad-libs with old scripture, weaving and rewriting selected passages to craft a new narrative (“inspired words” of old myth repurposed as new).

Yeah...susceptible to the force mind control.

Chart: In stark contrast to 2020, most Trump voters say U.S. elections were run and administered well

Actually your theory that Matthew Mark Luke and John made up stuff regarding an old myth is really ignorant.
Even NON Christian historians recorded that Jesus was born in Bethlehem and Jesus did grow to become an adult who was crucified. This is documented by more than one SECULAR historian.

Ah, for some reason I thought it was Amos.

Provide links for these historians. There is little to no actual evidence beyond after the fact claims. I happen to believe that he did live because making something up out of whole cloth is probably much harder.

The old “I never thought it would happen to me” lack of reasoning.
