She spent yesterday on the telephone for most of the day. I read that yesterday that she called the party leaders in all 50 states. That would take me three days.

Somewhere in a senior citizen’s Alabama home, are pictures of Jesus, Bear Bryant, Nick Saban, and Donald Trump hanging on the wall in front of the TV.

I have lived in Alabama since I went to Auburn in 2000. By favorite memory of this state was the day Nick Saban came out in support of black lives matter. Half the state short circuited and didn't know which messiah to follow, Saban or Trump. It was a great day.

Trump either lied about helicopter emergency landing with Willie Brown or his dementia is showing. Trump said he had flight records to prove the story is true and would sue the Times. When Trump was asked to produce those flight records, he instead mocked the reporter by repeating the question back in sing song fashion.

The GOP is really gonna have to do a serious reevaluation after this election.
Having Trump as the face of your party has done terrible PR for the under 40 voters.
If Kamala wins, that would only put 1 Republican president for a least the last 20 years when the 28 election is underway.
And i don’t know how to say this, the GOP’s core base is dying off, and they’ve done NOTHING to appeal to anyone else.

Moving away from Trump won't be enough. Their leadership will all need to start acting mature and rational and very publicly and very clearly call out the ones that act immature and irrational every time they act immature and irrational.

The rot in the current Republican party festers a lot deeper than just Trump.

I'm a little over halfway through watching the Harris-Walz rally in Arizona. Harris just responded to protesters in a way rarely seen. Paraphrasing, she asked everyone to "hold on" while directly acknowledging the protestors. Everyone stopped talking, including the protesters. She said how we are all here together and we are all here to fight for democracy, including respecting the protestors voices. She said to address what I think I hear you saying and let me speak to that for a moment and then I'll get back to the business at hand. Her response to the protestors was:

"I have been clear, now is the time to get a cease fire deal and get the hostage deal done. Now is the time and the president and I are working around the clock every day to get that cease fire deal done and bring the hostages home. So I respect your voices, but we are here to now talk about this race in 2024."​

I just saw this on Twitter. There was a helicopter ride where they had an emergency landing, it just wasn’t with Willie Brown, and it was years and years ago, in the 1990s, and of course Harris was not discussed during the flight.

People are starting to wake up to how we must return to civility, empathy and compassion. We far out number the hating, angry, demeaning voters.

If this wave continues thru Nov 5, Trump and his ilk don't stand a chance.

The country was waiting for this ticket ( in the sense of a return to civility ) and they got it and you see the reaction to it. We can disagree. We can debate each other. But we have to do it where both sides are open to it. Unfortuante that we have been mired the last 8 years, in a cycle of tribal politics that shunned anyone who even thought of compromise.

Funny how you arent hearing much from the MTGs, Gaetz or Boeberts over last 2 weeks. They know a shift is coming.
