    Today it begins, Kamala has reached the point that she's the Democratic Party nominee:

    She spent yesterday on the telephone for most of the day. I read that yesterday that she called the party leaders in all 50 states. That would take me three days.

    I am not against a renegotiation of the debates. One on Fox and one on ABC would be fine but that is not what Trump is doing. He is coming up with a format that no one opposing him wolf be ok with so he can act like she is chicken.
    Why was it ok to debate Biden on ABC before and not Harris in the same format. He had full input on that contract.

    I agree there should be renegotiation of the debates and one on ABC and one on FOX would be fair.

    The debates agreed to were negotiated between the Trump and Biden campaigns. Biden is obviously not the candidate anymore so they need to start over on negotiations.

    I'm not sure what all the different rules and parameters that were discussed previously, but it's totally different now with Harris as the candidate.

    If they Democrats wanted to keep that same debate, they shouldn't have forced Biden out.

    Honestly, if you want a quick pick-me-up, just take a look at some of the videos of them melting down about it.

    Their overwhelming response has been to shout WE’RE NOT WEIRD, YOU’RE WEIRD at the top of their lungs. JD Vance, for example, in something of an own goal, tweeted a video of Harris telling everyone her pronouns with the caption “JD Vance is weird”.

    While politicians trading silly insults may seem like a step back for US politics, Democrats emphasizing how weird Republicans are is actually progress.

    For far too long Democrats have made the mistake of treating fanatics on the right like they’re reasonable people who want to have good-faith debates.

    But there is no way to have a good-faith debate with people who call their opponents “childless cat ladies”, defend 12-year-olds getting married and think 10-year-old rape victims should be forced to give birth.

    Why even try? Instead of lending credence to their bizarre ideas by attempting to engage with them, it’s far more effective to bluntly call them what they are: a bunch of weirdos…….

    Let's bet on that because it's not going to happen.

    This may be an epiphany for you, Trump and other Republicans who may not know any bi-racial people, but people who are mixed race and comfortable with that fact identify and move freely between both races. For example, one of my best friends is Black and Mexican. When he's with his fathers family who is Black, more of his Black culture comes out. When he's with his Mom's family, his Mexican culture comes out more. When he's with friends, he transitions between both seamlessly. In other words, he doesn't feel pressure to identify with one more than the other, since he's equally both. And he's also been told he wasn't black enough or didn't live the black experience by other black people. Which he ignores because he knows the truth and their ignorance.

    Yep.. it's a losing issue for them with people in the middle imo and so.. it's one that I'm cool to see how far they run with it.

    "Mrs. Willie Brown" can't be asked because there is no Mrs, Willie Brown. and he and she separated over forty years ago.

    They had separated before Harris was his girlfriend. As Brown has said about that, "so what."

    He's also said:

    "Harris is the only one who, after I helped her, sent word that I would be indicted if I 'so much as jaywalked' while she was D.A. That's politics for ya."[64]

    The border, inflation, previous more liberal statements, etc - any focus on Harris's race like this is a distraction from the things to go after her on that can help win the election for Republicans.

    This race thing with Harris is like them walking into a trap though..
