I knew of a Catholic priest who used to say, "the problems in the world today are not because people don't treat others as they want to be treated, the problems come from people only being able to love others as they love themselves." He personally taught Catholicism from the foundational message of, "Christ loves everyone which includes you, so love yourself so that you can love yourself and everyone else like Christ does."

The desperation we are starting to see from him and his ilk is surprisingly early. I really thought that it wouldn't rear its head until late September.
at least then when they come to the realization that the election is going to not go their way.

Looks like that realization is happening now and they are going all in to get out in front to try and wrestle the momentum back.

Unfortunately they continue the same tack they have had for last 8 years...appeal to base.

Building on Mitch's comments, I'd like to see our national moto go back from "In God we Trust" to "E Pluribus Unum". That was a better moto.

I think Harris supporters are leaning too much into identity politics. These black women for Harris, then black men, then white men, then white women are steering this away from issues, and are off-putting.

That's certainly your opinion. My opinion is that we are all very capable of chewing gum and walking at the same time. Harris's campaign is effectively hitting on the issues while all of her supporters are both self-identifying themselves and their support for her and her issues. If you listen to any of the various zooms, they talked moral and policy issues more than anything else.
