Today it begins, Kamala has reached the point that she's the Democratic Party nominee:

There's video from today. this link has video from her first public appearance since Biden endorsed her:

She spent yesterday on the telephone for most of the day. I read that yesterday that she called the party leaders in all 50 states. That would take me three days.

She's renamed her YouTube channel, that's the where to go for video: https://www.youtube.com/@kamalaharris

This is her video on her channel from two hours ago:

To play it, start it, and then move it up to 5:47. This was one of those live videos which don't start at zero.

I've named this thread General Election 2024 Harris vs Trump

Trump needs an introduction post as well, a MAGA suporter ought to write it: @Farb, @SaintForLife , @Others, calling for someone to please introduce your GOP candidate for this 2024 general election thread.

If Trump does win, I'll be laughing at everybody who voted for Trump and suffers terribly be the end of his term because of all the shirt he'll do. Nobody can claim ignorance. They were fully warned. Let them suffer, I'll turn a blind eye to it all and protect me and mine
Unlike European nations that fall under authoritarianism, nobody will be able to come to our rescue, because fortress America will be turned into prison America.

Do people talk about the inevitable of Trump in 2016? Or do they talk about the Comey letter? We are talking about a guy who won 46.1% of the popular vote for christ sake.

This race happened with housing, and inflatation issues. An extermely unpopular incumbment octogenarian president that had to be forced out at the last second.

This loss is on Democrats. Not the unstoppable guy who wins 46% of the vote.

If Trump wins I first and foremost will blame the people who voted for him

I will blame the GOP for not impeaching the man who instigated a riot at the United States Capitol in which police

I will blame the people otherwise would’ve voted for the Democratic candidate but wouldn’t vote for her, because she was a her (a black her to boot)

Do the Democrats deserve a share of blame?

Sure, but to me it’s not the lions share

This is how I feel. This is a democracy. If this is what people want, esp those union voters, good luck boys.
If Trump wins and imposes the tariffs he has proposed, our markets will dry up, and there be huge job losses in the industries that rely on exports the most. Unions will suffer badly.

I mean the DOJ had 4 years to charge him, and waited until the last possible second.

I dunno, I think both share a lot of blame.

Na, that's not it. If Dems lose tonight. It's on Biden. Kamala was tied to a very unpopular incumbent adminstration.

I'm also very doubtful that Kamala wins if Biden drops out a year ago.

P.S. Chances of a Dem house are going up.
    It's on the Criminal.

I pray tariffs don't happen. That's going to be god awful for the economy.

Trump is very good at the 50% +1 on issues.. Democrats are on the wrong side of populist times.

I believe Bill Mahr said this before the 2016 election. If trump wins the country will get the president they deserve. I was shellshocked back then when HC lost. I didn't recognize this country anymore.. I thought people had more sense... but seems people have even less now than back then (considering all he said and did since then)

Your response is more simplistic. If you want to discuss where I’m incorrect the please do so.
This is what specifically was an over simplistic and stupid comment "then I hope Dems learn the lesson to never again just hand the candidacy to a woman, 0-2."

We really needed to run someone completely unconnected to the adminstration. Everyone wants to point towards sexism. I don't think it was that.

So Harris wasn’t handed the nomination?
