She spent yesterday on the telephone for most of the day. I read that yesterday that she called the party leaders in all 50 states. That would take me three days.

Remember before Trump announced his candidacy when Sununu thought that Trump either wouldn't run or wouldn't become the nominee if he did and was casting himself as an anti-Trumper?

He sure pulled a quick 180 when he saw which way the wind was blowing

Trump is who he is. And he can't help being who he is.

The GOP basically took a ranting crazy from the subway or street corner ran him for president and now try to convince everyone else that this is normal.

They deserve at least as much flak as Trump does

I used to think that things would be different if the rioters had found their way to congress members on Jan 6th and their were injuries or worse to Reps or Senators (not that I was wanting that at all)

Minnesota State Rep. Walter Hudson (R-Albertville) appears to tell conservative activists that he's glad they're "looking into" overthrowing the government after the election.

"One of the things you’ll likely hear in November is reference to in the Declaration of Independence. It says that when a system of government becomes tyrannical, the people have not just the right, but the duty to change their form of government. Doesn’t say anything about waiting for two years for the next election. It doesn’t say anything about waiting until the next Supreme Court justice retires or passes away. Veteran pollster Nate Silver said his “gut” right now is that former President Trump will win the election in less than two weeks, but he cautioned against putting faith in anyone’s gut feeling.

Silver wrote in a guest essay published Wednesday by The New York Times that calling the race a 50-50 toss-up is the “only responsible forecast,” with polls showing the race as razor-tight in all seven key battleground states that are likely to determine the outcome. But, the 538 founder added, if people press him to give an answer on who is favored, he will say Trump.

“My gut says Donald Trump. And my guess is that it is true for many anxious Democrats,” Silver said. “But I don’t think you should put any value whatsoever on anyone’s gut — including mine.”

I guess he feels that way because we live in a country where trump is an actual candidate for POTUS. I can't hold his gut feeling against him. We are who we are.

I don't think the guy praising Trump is just whistling Dixie when he says he sees the election as an existential threat. I think he absolutely means it to his core and so do all of the cult devotees of Trump. This election has the potential to be the most violent election the country has seen in a long time. There are people who will violently protest the election if the person they support doesn't win the election be it Harris or Trump.

Democratic leaning voters have acted out for other reasons, but not for election results, so why would you say “be it Harris or Trump”? I think Republicans have been talking about violence again, and I may have missed it, but I haven’t heard any such discussions from Democrats recently. I think plenty will be angry and outraged, but I don’t think it’s justified to say that there will be some violent protesters regardless of the outcome. I think it is only likely if Trump loses.

A Pennsylvania canvasser claimed an address in Erie, Pennsylvania – a key swing county in a key swing state for the upcoming presidential election – is linked to 53 voter registrations and could be the source of voter fraud.

However, that address is home to the Benedictine Sisters of Erie – and they’re firing back at what they’ve called a “defamatory” claim from the canvassing group’s founder.

Cliff Maloney said on Monday that one of his members discovered an address in Erie with several dozen voter registrations – and claimed that “no one” lives there. Maloney is the founder of The Pennsylvania Chase, a self-described “ground-game campaign to knock 500,000 doors to chase GOP ballots & increase GOP mail-in results.”

“We knocked on the door because a Republican mail-in ballot is unreturned,” Maloney wrote on X. “Our attorney’s are reviewing this right now. We will not let the Dems count on illegal votes.”

The Benedictine Sisters of Erie were quick to hit back — and make it clear that they very much exist and reside there.

“We want to call Cliff Maloney to account for his blatantly false post that accuses our sisters of fraud,” Sister Stephanie Schmidt said in a statement. “We do live at Mount Saint Benedict Monastery and a simple web search would alert him to our active presence in a number of ministries in Erie.”……….

he could be caught in one of those traps they use to catch people trying to have sex with young girls and it still would no nothing. That's how much he has corrupted the party. Then the supreme court would say its ok.
