July 26 - More than 160,000 people joined a Zoom call on Thursday night to build support for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris among white women, a voter demographic that has supported Republican nominee Donald Trump in the past two elections.

A series of video calls supporting Harris's 2024 election bid has been hastily put together after President Joe Biden's announcement on Sunday that he would step aside in the race.

Hours after the announcement, more than 40,000 people joined a Zoom call for Black women supporters.

I was thinking about why Trump and his sycophants consistently praise dictators- and it’s always in the context of what they “get done.”

It’s because they admire the ability of authoritarians to “get things done.” They wish that had the same power, and they’re willing to sell out our democracy to get that. As long as they’re the ones who have control.

It looks like you are wrong. Yes I'm aware this from when Biden was running, but I don't think Harris record as a prosecutor will have black voters reversing that trend.

This is part of their forced pivot. They know a lot less women are going to support them. They are going after black, and hispanic men age range 18-34. The PROBLEM is that cohort not the most reliable group of voters.

This has little to do with her record as a prosecutor, or the fact Trump is a convicted felon.

"I think you're just in your infancy," Trump told the meeting of crypto industry leaders. "I can see it happening. In just 15 years, bitcoin has gone from merely an idea posted anonymously on an internet message board to being the ninth most valuable asset anywhere in the world."

Trump said he'd lay out a plan "to ensure that the United States will be the crypto capital of the planet and the bitcoin superpower of the world."….

Trump also pledged to keep 100% of all bitcoin owned by the federal government — most of which was confiscated by law enforcement — to keep as a "strategic national bitcoin stockpile."

Trump's opinion of bitcoin appears to have come full circle. During his presidency in 2019, Trump called bitcoin "highly volatile and based on thin air."
