Do you think that headlines are written by the journalist who wrote the article? Do you think that a misleading headline (which you admitted this was) somehow is significant when the article doesn’t back it up?

So, you DO trust the mainstream media, at least to accurately write a headline to match the article. That is misplaced trust no matter what side of the aisle you're on. Always read the article. Titles are usually written by someone other that the article's author.

You read the article title only. Just admit it. It's okay. "Key role" doesn't appear anywhere in the text. Nor any specifics of that particular meeting. Weak.

What probably happened was something similar to the border czar situation. The media probably exaggerated her role to puff her up as they do as an arm for the Democrat party eventhough what they claimed wasn't entirely accurate.

Harris has a presence on TikTok now. I haven’t been on it before now, but I think most people under 35 are. Even my daughter, who is 40, watches TikTok every night after the kids are in bed instead of TV.

Carville was on one of the talk shows saying that Harris needs to buy more TV ads, and I did see that the campaign announced a $50M ad buy. But this stuff is definitely cheaper to do, and the reach could be even better.

I saw this posted on Twitter today.

There's a reason the last campaign Carville worked on was Hilary Clinton's failed bid in 2008. Obama cleaned Clinton's clock on alternative media, because Carville couldn't adapt. He's a dinosaur who couldn't adapt, so he perished. He doesn't know how to run a successful campaign in the age of alternative media.

Also, Trump lost his advantage in social media entertainment politics to Harris. The young'ins dominate that arena and they are coming out in droves in favor of Harris.

BTW, I was in and out of the White Women for Harris zoom last night. They raised about $8M, I think as of today (since the donation link is still active). I can tell you that women are highly motivated to get rid of Trump and Vance. There were about 150,000 women on the call and YouTube. This was a copy of the Black Women’s call that happened Sunday evening. Several people you would know spoke. They are combining efforts with women of all races going forward:

Please ask the women you encounter who say they are dumping Trump and Vance to also dump every down ballot Republican for at least this one election.

Trump needs to be careful what he asks for. Data supports the idea that the overwhelming majority of Christians value Christ's teachings of love and empathy more than they do political power, so if every eligible Christian votes, it could be a disaster for Trump. I know hundreds of Christians from a variety of denominations, they are all very loudly opposed to Trump, as are the communities they belong to.

Yeah I'm familiar with that concept and that's why I support populist movements like Trump. No I don't think Trump will be fully populist in his policies. He will do some standard republican policies which I'm generally against, but I'll take a partial populist president over president who bend to the will of the establishment which is what we have since I've been following politics.

Here is where you lose the plot. Trump isn’t going to be a populist- there’s zero evidence of that in his actions, the only things you have to go on are the lies he tells. His tax cuts for the middle class were temporary, but the tax cuts for billionaires and corporations were permanent. His proposed tax rates are even worse. They will raise taxes for the middle class and cut taxes yet again for billionaires.

The first thing he did after he got his tax cuts passed last time was go to Mar-A-Lago and tell his members that they are really rich, and he just made them a whole lot richer.

He promises oil companies the moon, if they will give him a billion dollars so he can be elected. He hates labor unions, he lets tech billionaires tell him who to pick for his VP. He’s against cryptocurrency, until a billionaire donor has a private meeting with him and now he’s done a complete turn around.

He’s just for sale. He has no real ideology, no sense of what’s right and wrong. He has no moral compass. He’s spent his entire life proving that. Cheating subcontractors, cheating labor, cheating on all 3 wives, cheating the banks, cheating insurance companies, cheating on his taxes.
