    Today it begins, Kamala has reached the point that she's the Democratic Party nominee:

    She spent yesterday on the telephone for most of the day. I read that yesterday that she called the party leaders in all 50 states. That would take me three days.

    SFL posted some disinformation a day or two ago about Harris’ record as AG in California. I didn’t know anything about this particular allegation at the time, so didn’t say much about it. This graphic showed up today on Twitter. It completely debunks the allegation that Harris wanted to keep prisoners in past the end of their sentence to do manual labor. It doesn’t need sound and it a quick watch. The last frame has all the links to substantiate what was said. Edit: it’s the bottom video.

     


    We haven’t seen a Trump campaign with 0 adults around.

    He’s just going to go lower and lower between now and November.

    All he had to do was act normal for a few months after the shooting. His approval rating is currently near an all time high.

    He can’t pretend to be normal for a week, much less 4 months.

    I was in a FB thread recently started by a meme based on a fake video. I tried to tell them it was fake but they weren't having it. "I SAW THE VIDEO!" With the new age of video deepfakes and AI, and the lack of media literacy (or at least a healthy dose of skepticism), the polarization based on "alternative facts" is only getting worse.

    That was expected. He doesn't want to debate Harris. He would look very bad and it has the potential to kill is hope for the presidency the way it did for Biden.

    Next step for Trump is to make a few ridiculous demand to make agreeing to a debate impossible.

    She already has momentum and excitement. If she kills him in a debate she's only going to get stronger.

    Safer bet is to keep doing rallies spouting gibberish in front of cult followers.

    I hope Harris has her surrogates constantly call Trump out as weak and scared of her. If that happens, he'll debate her, because he can't help himself. He's not going to risk letting anyone think he's afraid of taking on a black woman.

    Trump set a frame that Biden was old, weak, and dottering. Now, that all works against him. The second frame Harris trying to set is Prosecutor vs Felon. It's why SFL is posting stuff about her AG record. They really want to make that toxic, and go away.
     
    Like a warm compress drawing pus from a wound, the Democratic presidential candidacy of Kamala Harris immediately brought out the misogyny and racism of the Maga Republican party.

    Tim Burchett, the Tennessee Republican representative, called Harris, the child of a Black Jamaican father and an Indian mother, a DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) hire – picked, that is, because she is Black, not because she’s qualified.

    Donald Trump’s running mate, JD Vance, insinuated that Harris is a welfare queen. “What the hell have you done other than collect a check?” he asked at a Michigan rally of Harris, a former state attorney general, US senator and now the vice-president.

    At the same time, social media posts showing Harris with her parents falsely claim she’s not really Black, because her father is light-skinned.

    Popping up again are rumors circulated in 2020 by Trump lawyer John Eastman that Harris is ineligible to run for office because she might not be a citizen. Like Barack Obama, about whom Trump stirred the same “birther” calumny, Harris was born in the US.

    Far-right blogger Matt Walsh and former Fox host Megyn Kelly suggested Harris slept her way to the top. Conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer went further, alleging that the veep was “once an escort” who started out by “giving blow jobs to successful, rich, Black men”. The founder of Pastors for Trump tweeted: “Both Joe + the Ho gotta go!”

    While allegedly copulating with all comers, Harris is slammed for failing in her womanly duty to reproduce. In a video that recently turned up, Vance, the father of three, told Tucker Carlson in 2021 that the US was being run by “childless cat ladies” – Harris among them – who don’t “have a direct stake” in the country’s future.

    Will Chamberlain, a lawyer who worked on Florida governor Ron DeSantis’s presidential campaign, proclaimed that “people without kids … are highly susceptible to corruption and perversion. They have no care for the future and live in the present.”

    Being a step-parent – as Harris is to her husband’s biological children – doesn’t count, Chamberlain added. This criticism has never been leveled against the childless George Washington – although, to be fair, he was the Father of Our Country.

    And if misogyny and racism are not sufficient, the right keeps searching for plain weirdness to use against the Democratic candidate. All they’ve come up with, though, is one of her more charming characteristics, her laugh, from which Trump derives his lamest-yet political nickname: “Laughing Kamala”.

    This stuff is vile to watch. But as with drained pus, it’s got to be exposed to the air. Because it’s not just talk. It reveals what a Trump presidency would mean. By exposing what’s festering barely under the skin of Trumpism, the Republican party is telling us to vote against him……..

    They keep finding really weird sound bites from Vance. In this one he speculates about a time where abortion is banned in Ohio and Soros (lol) charters a plane to fly all these black (?) women to CA for abortions and says he favors a “federal response” if that happens. Hoo boy there’s a whole lot of weird to unpack there.

     
    Watching the politicians who voted to reauthorize FISA-702 which allows the Government to spy on Americans without a warrant go on T.V and cry about how Harris getting the proverbial nod is against democracy.

    This is why I hate them all.

The GOP is going to parrot the RW press who saw her assignment and dubbed her the Border Czar, but as already pointed out her assignment was to help address the root causes of migration in several countries.

    I love how Republicans say that wearing a mask is too much of an imposition and it's too restrictive, yet they also think people take their children on a 3,000 mile journey on a whim.
     
    Could immigration be any worse under a Harris administration than it is now? It seems possible based the positions she supported in the past.

     
    Harris is touting her time as a prosecutor.

    Here was an interesting story where even Feinstein, who supported an assault weapons ban, criticized Harris for not seeking the death penalty for someone who killed a cop.



    "This is not only the definition of tragedy, it's the special circumstance called for by the death penalty law," Feinstein said.


    Bill Shipley claims that he's heard that she's exaggerated her record as a prosecutor.



    Really? Those should all be a matter of public record in the SF County Superior Court.

    List the case names that show her as the lead prosecutor.

    Let's see the transcripts of her work in Opening Statements and Closing Arguments.

    I hear the reality is quite different than the "rep" she is claiming for herself.
     
    How can a former prosecutor advocate for something that even Biden reminds her of as being unconstitutional?
