Today it begins, Kamala has reached the point that she's the Democratic Party nominee:

There's video from today. this link has video from her first public appearance since Biden endorsed her:

She spent yesterday on the telephone for most of the day. I read that yesterday that she called the party leaders in all 50 states. That would take me three days.

She's renamed her YouTube channel, that's the where to go for video: https://www.youtube.com/@kamalaharris

This is her video on her channel from two hours ago:

To play it, start it, and then move it up to 5:47. This was one of those live videos which don't start at zero.

I've named this thread General Election 2024 Harris vs Trump

Trump needs an introduction post as well, a MAGA suporter ought to write it: @Farb, @SaintForLife , @Others, calling for someone to please introduce your GOP candidate for this 2024 general election thread.

I think normal people will recoil from the chaos that Trump will bring. Plus the women - that’s the biggest difference between 2020 and now. In 2020, losing rights was just a possibility. It’s all too real now. And they aren’t satisfied, they’re going after IVF, some birth control and no fault divorce. They want to control women’s movements from one state to another if they can figure out how to pull that off.

One of Harris’ more effective slogans that will resonate with most women is “We’re Not Going Back”.

Pollsters don’t capture the younger women voters very well.

Get it your point.... that's just not what the polls were saying both pre and post debate in swing states... and yes polls are fallible... historically though... when the DEM is up in the polls there this late... it's a close / down to the wire... if they are down this late... it's bad news... at least - that's what I heard Carville say.

I still think the swing states come down to policy and not person...

There will likely be a reset in polling because the candidate changed. It is always about momentum and polls always tighten the closer you get to the election. At this point anyone claiming they know what is going to happen is just talking out of their butt. End of August, polling should be representative of what is going to happen.
Big news, conventions, surprises always drive numbers short term. What it looks like a week or two from now should at least show some of the impact of what a candidate change means.
A lot can happen in the next 100 days to change the race. 2 weeks ago, it was basically over, now no one knows what will happen.

I've never posted anything from Newsmax, AON, or Prager U. You aren't even a good liar.

First, I'll point out, you didn't deny Fox., nor the sycophants:hihi:

Also, you didn't deny that Fox, Newsmax, AON, Daily Wire, etc. rebrand right wingers all the time and label what they consider non-right wing all the time, which, you know, was the point of the reply.

And for the record, it was a list.... let me add to it so you can understand:

Fox, Newsmax, AON, Daily Wire, PragerU, AND all of the sycophants whose tweets you keep you keep flooding the forum with...

Still, that doesn't mean that those sycophants don't come from or contribute to AON, or Daily Wire, or PragerU... I know Greenwald is with (or was) and certainly contributes to Daily Wire.

I don’t understand. Are you calling them hypocrites for doing what the left did? If so I say what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. I think both sides boycott companies. Heck in the 80’s I think it was Tide that was getting cancelled by everyone for some kind of devil worshipping stuff.

Just like the many other things far right conservatives like to cry about, this whole "war against cancel culture" is just them projecting their misdeeds onto the opposition. They've been canceling companies and burning books/records since the 60's.

TeletubbiesThough sexuality and sexual preference are never mentioned on the show in any form, Conservatives created a conspiracy theory the Teletubby Tinky Winky was created by liberals to secretly promote homosexuality.
The SimpsonsIn the 1990s, Conservatives all over the country were banning Simpsons apparel because it wasn't wholesome enough.
YogaMany Conservative Christians want yoga banned because they view it a teaching Hinduism. In Alabama, yoga has been banned from public schools.
NikeAfter hiring Colin Kaepernick, Conservatives were publicly burning Nike shoes.

im calling them out for the whining about "Cancel Culture" when they in fact, do it all the time. Netflix, Bud Light just to name 2 major in last 2 years.

I dont care if they cancel their Netflix sub or stop drinking Bud Light ( which they should have done LONG ago- but thats a different topic lol ) - Stop your complaining and cancel already or whatever you wanna do.

As for Tide/80s- meh - i was riding my Mongoose listening to Shout at the Devil on my Walkman ;)

I am getting tired of repeating this line, but its just so spot on "Its ONLY OK when WE do it" -Republicans.

I get it. I think both sides do the “it’s only ok if we do it” crap.

As i said long ago, give Trump et al enough rope, they will work hard to hang themselves:

this is only the beginning folks- we have 3 more months of Trump/Vance continuing to alienate the votes they NEED to make a run at White House. Unless they do a complete 180 in the next 45-60 days ( which aint gonna happen ), November 2024 will be the election year of the women/youth who have simply had enough of the rhetoric.

A lot of us old, honky men have had enough of it too, before it even got started.

The question for KH is... can she win the swing states and not lose any traditionally blue states in Nov.
Yes, according to the outpouring of small donations and the polls. I know you don't put much stock in polls, neither do I. The small donations are a much better indicator than polls and right now things are looking great for Harris to win and Trump to lose.

The real question is can Trump and Vance stop pissing people off with shirt they say and losing votes in every state between now and Nov. Absolutely not, based on the entire history of Trump and Vance.

I thought you didn't put any stock in polls? Since you now for some reason put stock in polls, you should check the latest ones that show an even race in every swing state except AZ.

I can’t remember when this many people crossed the aisle to endorse the opposite party candidate. Some of these may have left the GOP, though, but still. And then when you factor in that Trump’s previous VP and 40 out of 44 Cabinet members won’t endorse him, well, that should tell everyone something.

I would be fine with that. I actually think Harris has the advantage over Trump. I think she is closer to what the majority thinks about a lot of issues. Trump is extreme, especially if you look at his Project 2025. Plus, verbally he can’t sustain a message, he’s all over the place from one day to the next.
