This is a lie. There was absolutely coordination between Trump surrogates and the insurrectionists. That’s why several people are doing 20+ years in the federal pen. Just be patient, members of the Trump admin will be going to jail also up to and including Trump, if he lives that long.

A lot of it is here. They weren’t rioters - they were definitely insurrectionists looking to delay the certification of the vote and overturn the election. There will be more from the trial transcripts.

Not only that - he now finds himself having to defend and spend money in GA, NC, AZ etc. Money that he doesn’t have, frankly. His position just doesn’t look good.

And Trump seized control of the RNC so he could siphon money away from down ballot Republicans into his various businesses. Most of the "campaign" spending that Trump has paid out has been to his businesses. Every national Republican candidate is losing campaign funding to Trump. That's one of the key reasons I'm optimistic about the national down ballot races.
