Good point from Jennings and he provided the context about when Biden was picking his VP in 2020 he implied race and gender were his principle criteria for picking a running mate and he was pressured by Democrats to do that.

I understand when a campaign will try to rebrand a candidate, but when the media is actively involved in that as well it's quite a different thing.

In the video their is a clip of the media calling Harris the border czar. Whatever term you want to use she was put in charge of the border.

I was specifically talking about the media. It's clear that it was reported in multiple places that Harris was the border czar, in charge of the border crisis, the point person on immigration issues, etc.

I understand the need to distance herself from the border which is a disaster, but she was supposedly working on border & immigration issues.

It doesnt appear she had any effect on the border or migration while the Biden administration has been welcoming in as many illegal immigrants as possible.

The Daily Show is running this 3 minute teaser of Trevor North interviewing Obama. The whole interview will air tonight on the Daily Show. It relates to this thread into that it's an element or this campaign, Obama still influences politics in our country.

What you see here might be a preview of Obama speaking at the DNC next month. When he will endorse Harris. By then it will be a ticker with the VP in place, so he'll endorse the whole ticket with a rousing convention speech.

I expect Bill Clinton will be there as well for a grand endorsement speech. Taken from past conventions, I have found that he is quite good at giving them as well. I remember his speech in 2012, his speech might have made the difference in that election, it was that good.
