I'll probably be flipping between CNN, NBC, and probably PBS if they have coverage.

I disagree. Republicans don't govern apologetically even when they win with a minority of voters, why should Democrats? Biden has won more votes than any candidate in our nation's history -- he should own it.That doesn't mean I don't think he should still pursue his policy goals -- I absolutely think he should. But I think it would be smart to not pretend that he has a clear "will of the people" moment for policies. He's going to need to continue to work to sell his vision and his goals.
This topic deserves its own thread soon. Spanberger in VA addressed this. Ds will barely keep the House. The state legislatures will control future districts. It is important to remember that it's going to be a pretty solid win for Biden over Trump, but not for Democrats over Republicans. Republicans expanded their control of state legislatures, took back seats in the House, and at the moment held onto their Senate majority (TBD).
We're going to spend several months I'm sure debating what that means. I think Biden has a clear mandate to clean up the obvious messes of the Trump years (the breaking of Democratic norms, repair relationships with allies, general chaos in administration, 4AM tweet storms, divisive language, etc). But I don't think there is a huge mandate for all the policy goals.

Oh, I completely agree that he should govern more inclusively than what we've seen, and I think that's part of his agenda. But if he doesn't flex a little bit then he'll be perceived as weak, and perception becomes reality. They'll take that olive branch and beat him down with it.And what happens when the Republicans do that? They stir up a lot justified anger and enthusiasm to throw them out. And then they do. Trump was a one term president and lost the House after 2 years.
And I'm not saying that Biden should act sheepish or not own the fact he handily won the election. I think he should proceed with his agenda, but he needs to recognize that he still needs to work to sell it, still listen to concerns from people and so on. Ie, he needs to govern and lead. I think he will, but my goal isn't to see 2 years of Biden followed by a red wave in 2022, where he is ineffective his final 2 years. I'd then like to see a continuous march of better governance that lasts a long time, without the paroxysmal spasms back and forth like we've been seeing.
Alaska is all outstanding mail in ballots. Could be interesting.
ATLANTA — Georgia’s secretary of state said on Friday that the presidential race in his state was so close that a recount is inevitable.
As of late Friday morning, former Vice President Joseph R. Biden, Jr., led President Trump in the state by a mere 1,579 votes.
Gabriel Sterling, an official with the secretary of state’s office, said that 4,169 ballots — most of them absentee ballots — remained to be counted in four counties: Gwinnett, Cobb, Cherokee and Floyd. The largest tranche to be counted is in Gwinnett County, which contains Atlanta suburban communities and has gone from Republican-leaning to Democratic leaning in recent years.
The state must also deal with an unknown number of ballots from military and overseas voters. Their ballots will be counted if they were postmarked by Tuesday and arrive in the mail before the end of business Friday.
There are also an unknown number of provisional ballots that must be “cured,” either by county elections officials or, in some cases, by voters who show up to county offices and provide documentation or otherwise settle questions about their voter status.
“With a margin that small, there will be a recount in Georgia,” the secretary of state, Brad Raffensperger, said in a Friday morning news conference at the State Capitol.
I read somewhere that once all of California is counted the final gap in the popular vote should be around 7 million.
So if 306-232 with -3 million votes is a landslide I don't even know what you would call 306-232 with a +7 million vote.
Indeed, he should make sure to repetitively misstate it as 306-223.Part of me wants Biden to be petty and use trump's exact landslide talk abut it too
Germany overcame its own nightmare after WW2. Maybe this will spur us to overcome our nightmare. However, Hitler had setbacks, and even spent time in prison, before making a huge comeback with the Hitler Youth. Obviously that seems to be hyperbolic, and I'm not claiming that Trump is as bad as Hitler today, however Trump has used a similar playbook. If Trump were a much younger man, and if he had the opportunity to make a comeback, I believe he would be an equal threat. If the economy were to somehow take a big nose-dive, that would lend itself to one of his acolytes trying to revive MAGA and Trumpism. Watch out for Mike Pompeo.God, that sounds like a nightmare. I am really happy that I don't live in the USA anymore. I really hate to say this, but after living in Germany it would feel like taking several steps backwards.

Anyone want to listen to a drunk Clay Higgins meltdown?
I only got to "has been an anointed blessing to our nation" before I shut it off
I don't even think the pollsters could screw up the odds of this happening
Trump TV will be a failure, but it would be good for America if he steals Fox's opinion hosts. They are essentially QAnon/conspiracy theorists acolytes. Let Trump TV take everyone's crazy uncle, and leave behind the remaining establishment Republicans to support Fox, and that will protect our Democracy more than anything Trump has done since he became president.I'll say this. If Trump goes to war with Fox/Murdoch, he's gonna get wrecked. But...I'd love to see them duke it out.
And I hope Trump does steal Tucker and Hannity. Fox will be better for it.
