Trump and the Republicans like Lindsey Graham and Cruz pushing these ridiculous conspiracy theories will have blood on their hands. I just had a thought a few minutes ago, the election result might fuel even more far right extremism. I wonder what can be done about it other than abolishing faux news and facebook (which won't happen).
I read yesterday facebook shut this group down, which already had 300,000 members in less than a day

I'm not optimistic that this would happen, but the party leadership has to take the bull by the horns and clean house. They can't do much about Graham and Cruz as Senators, but they can repudiate those conspiracy theories and freeze them out of party leadership positions. McConnell will be the toughest nut to crack because he's majority leader.

I'm not sure there's enough appetite in the party to make a big push to discipline those peddling the conspiracy theory BS, but it really needs to happen sooner or later.

Agreed, which is why my optimism is low. I'm not expecting much. I suppose the House/Senate could censure the ones peddling conspiracies, but that's mostly symbolic. I don't think there's much they can do other than maybe removing them from committee positions, which actually is a big deal. So we'll see. I'm not expecting much. Meh.

QAnon has gotten so much of a hold on people that any attempt from even Republicans will get them lumped into the deep state and they'll also be labled as participants in the devil worshiping, pizza parlor pedophilia party.
