Everything I've seen and heard says that the split second Donald Trump is no longer president there will be flood of charges waiting for him

And if he resigns and Pence pardons him there are a ton of state charges as an understudy waiting in the wings if the fed charges can't perform

What do you think the likelihood of there being a jail sentence?

In every movie and TV show I've ever seen, in every political thriller I've ever read about a criminal and corrupt president there is ALWAYS some version of;

"We can't do that to the country",

"A trial would tear the country apart",

"For the nation to heal we need to move on" etc.

Would life imitate art?

Even with the charges, even with the proof the charges are true will the powers that be decide, "we can't do that to the country"?

I just saw this. Hoo boy. Well, I hope all those Republicans choke on their words now. I heard that Steve Scalise on Fox today called the FBI agents who carried out the search “rogue agents“.

He should be disqualified from serving in Congress on that irresponsible quote alone.

Personally, i want to know more information about where that info came from and what exactly was said.

It could be the word "nukelear" wrote on a napkin, t could be about a investigation into the Uranium One deal, or him keeping info that would be valuable to sell to foreign countries.

Most of the options would make it a big deal, but we can't even be sure that the source isn't Eric Trump trying to troll the media.

I think given the AG's posture today and the fact that this information is now being reported by reputable new outlets, I think there's something substantial here. But I guess we'll have to wait until the warrant is unsealed.

I don't know if this is anywhere near the truth and I hate to engage in the sort of 'rampant speculation as fact' that is a feature of the conspiracy-minded world. But if there are nuclear documents and there is a Saudi connection, there's also that large payment to Jared Kushner that never had any explanation. Saying IF here - could all be junk.

I don't know if this is anywhere near the truth and I hate to engage in the sort of 'rampant speculation as fact' that is a feature of the conspiracy-minded world. But if there are nuclear documents and there is a Saudi connection, there's also that large payment to Jared Kushner that never had any explanation. Saying IF here - could all be junk.

That Kushner money can easily be a payment for Jared's intel on MBS's enemies. That was partly why Kushner's clearance was revoked. The American choice for their leadership and was viewed as more moderate and amenable to the US IC was then arrested and haven't been heard since. At least that's what I've read from a few pretty reliable writers.

Have to say this was well played by DOJ. File the warrant under seal and treat it as a sensitive matter. No leaks. Execute the warrant - Trump goes ballistic, MAGA/GOP makes it a national issue so now DOJ can move to unseal the warrant . . . they would have been happy to not seal it in the first place, it was deference to being a sensitive matter and letting Trump unseal it himself.

WaPo would never trust Eric Trump. They do vet their sources, and there is a department that verifies that the people with the information would have actual access to that information. So, I think the main caveat right now is that this is apparently someone who has seen the search warrant. But they don’t know what was actually found.
