    Everything I've seen and heard says that the split second Donald Trump is no longer president there will be flood of charges waiting for him

    And if he resigns and Pence pardons him there are a ton of state charges as an understudy waiting in the wings if the fed charges can't perform

    What do you think the likelihood of there being a jail sentence?

    In every movie and TV show I've ever seen, in every political thriller I've ever read about a criminal and corrupt president there is ALWAYS some version of;

    "We can't do that to the country",

    "A trial would tear the country apart",

    "For the nation to heal we need to move on" etc.

    Would life imitate art?

    Even with the charges, even with the proof the charges are true will the powers that be decide, "we can't do that to the country"?

    Can wait to read the tirade coming from Truth Social...
    Trump said this an hour ago there:

    "These Thugs and Radical Left Monsters have just INDICATED the 45th President of the United States of America, and the leading Republican Candidate, by far, for the 2024 Nomination for President. THIS IS AN ATTACK ON OUR COUNTRY THE LIKES OF WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE. IT IS LIKEWISE A CONTINUING ATTACK ON OUR ONCE FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS. THE USA IS NOW A THIRD WORLD NATION, A NATION IN SERIOUS DECLINE. SO SAD"

    I feel like dancing in the street. Except I have no street.

    Other than being milquetoast as hell, I'm not seeing how she blew it?

    "A trial to prove innocence" is so boneheaded I can't even explain. It's backwards and more than that, it just gives fuel to the claims of presumed guilt, witch hunt, etc. It's just a tweet but that kind of unforced error is so common. Just negligence.

    Ah, ok. I see it now. She should have just stopped at "trial".

    With the high number of counts and the other possible charges besides just tax reporting fraud, I have hope, but I was worried that it would just be a misdemeanor or a felony only indirectly. The tea leaves now appear to be a stronger case.

    With the Georgia case threatened by the commission they are about to establish to fire attorneys general, which may thwart that case, this case may be more important. Still waiting on the January 6th indictments.
