Big difference 4 weeks and 8. How many of you get 8 weeks of tax payer paid leave?
Lol.. really? So i bet you were upset everyime Trump went to Key Largo to play golf on the taxpayers expense..
And do we know for sure he didn't use any of his personal/vacation time?

Are you operating under the assumption that he is the only person there capable of doing anything and that he has dropped completely off of the grid, unreachable by anyone?
I’m saying he took an 8 week leave at the same time his departments performance is crashing. I would say he either went off the grid, or isn’t very good at handling life and job duties.

    I’m not playing whataboutism.

I wouldn't ask the question if I had the answer.
The supply chain is handled by private business. If the federal government isn't supposed to be meddling in private business, I want to know what you think the federal government should be doing here.
Socialsm is bad until its preferred?..lol.. They yell CAPITALISM LEAVE GOV'T OUT OF IT!!!!
then get mad when GOV'T isn't doing a good job at controlling how capitalism works...

No one is talking about socialism. We are asking that he does his job.

So if a woman would have been in this position and went out on maternity leave in the same situation, would you be berating her for taking 8 weeks instead of like 2?
I know some women who only took a 2 or 3 weeks off for maternity leave. Heck, some women go right back to work as soon as they get discharged from the hospital.

If she was the transportation secretary and her department was a disaster. Yes

Since you are an expert on all this, what would you do to correct all this in 4 weeks time frame? If he didn't take the time off, would we be clear of all thiese delays?
that was actually set up. You said you didn't play what aboutisms.. clearly you do, you just want to do it selectivly so you don't have to answer certain questions...
Wait what? You asked a question I gave a very consistent answer. Please describe the gotcha moment you thing you set up.

And I'm saying that makes as much sense as placing this on the Transportation Department when the issues clearly run far beyond anything under the purview of Transportation.

wait, so you didn't say your not gonna play whataboutisms to a question i asked, but when i presented you with another "whataboutism" you answerd it quickly?

So then answer the first "whataboutism" is presented you.

He has to take the blame because hes a homosexual who took maternity leave and that is the real importnant part of these shipping delays.

If only he would take his arse back to the Department of Transportation and solve the... checks notes... massive labor and production shortages both in the US and abroad.

Interesting perspective. Are you saying The transportation secretary of the US has no influence over maritime, train and truck transportation?

I'm saying that the Transportation Secretary of the U.S. has relatively little influence on labor shortages and drastically reduced global manufacturing brought on by a worldwide epidemic that has killed nearly 5 million people, with almost 15% of those deaths occurring in the U. S.

But yeah, let's put this shirt on Pete for taking paternity leave.

We are shirting on him for being ineffective…..and taking off 8 weeks in the middle of a crisis.

By the way, what you described is one of the reasons we have a transportation secretary with a full staff and pretty much unlimited funds.
