I wonder why he says "EFFECTIVELY" banning the private sale of firearms, and not "banning the private sale of firearms"? Could it be a scare tactic to make everyone think that Biden is coming after their guns by trying to work out some kind of common sense way to close the private sale loophole, and not actually a rule that would stop someone from privately selling a firearm?

It's not surprising that Biden isn't polling well with blacks especially when you consider the economy as well.

- Being Vice-President to the first Black president

- Selecting a the first female Black/South Asian Vice-President.

- Appointing the first female Black supreme court justice

- Being president during the lowest Black unemployment rate ever

The so-called war on drugs was a war created by white men in general and conservatives in particular. Marijuana criminality was directly aimed at black people because of racism which derives from white fear. Ever hear of Reefer Madness?

I really am starting to think that Biden's PR team is actually a bunch of Republican plants.

It is unfathomable to me that with the continued booming economy - better than it has been since the 1950's for fork sake - that this isn't the message on every surrogate's lips and keyboard

I think it is, they're taking about it a lot. Including Biden himself.

The problem is that Democrats are burdened with having to feel everybodies pain all of the time because their policies are try to address and serve, underprivileged/poor people and communities. So even in good economic times, they have to temper their messaging to keep the plight of these people in mind less they be accused of being hypocrites.

By contrast, Republicans don't give a fork about the poor and don't even pretend too. So when the economy is good under them, as it was under Trump prior to the pandemic, they shout it from the rafters without qualifications or concern for those left behind or not benefiting from the good economy.

The media adds to this by only reporting on the poor and those left out of the good economy when Democrats are in office and constantly asking the administration about those left behind. As opposed to largely ignoring the poor during Republican administrations and never questioning them.

The US private sector built more last year than any year since 1958. You know the Golden Age of the middle class. This is per the Economist and is adjusted for inflation.

Industrial construction is the canary industry. We built more plants and factories in terms of $'s than the entire 2000's. These plants being built turn into hundreds and thousands of jobs after they come online. Hence the continued underestimating of the job gains YoY.

Markets - all of them - are at all time highs. Unemployment is below full employment levels and wage increases are outpacing inflation for the fist time in a generation

So yes please let Rapisthinskin continue to push a bad economy.

You don't campaign on the economy, until there's not enough time before the election for the economy to take a big downturn.

If Biden campaigns heavily on economic achievement right now, then significant chunk of voters will blame any downturn before the election against him and vote against him, even if the economic downturn was caused by a super volcano eruption.

Be patient. If the economy is still doing good in September, then you'll be begging the Biden campaign to give all the victory laps on the economy a rest. Most presidential elections are won and lost in the month of October.
