I'll be 100% with everyone on the board. The only thing I hate about the trans issue is that it takes up so much oxygen. It failed as a wedge issue because everyone realized we are talking about a fraction of a fraction of the population.

To the conseratives: All you wanted to talk about was Abortion for 60 years, that's not going away because you won. No one cares about trans stuff enough to make it national politics.

tl/dr: Stop trying to make trans-fetch happen

Sen. Joe Manchin (I-W.Va.) on Monday said he is not running for office in the wake of speculation that he would pursue the Democratic presidential nomination after President Biden dropped his reelection bid on Sunday.

“I’m not running for office,” Manchin told “CBS Mornings” on Monday.

“I’m not going to be a candidate for president,” he added. “I don’t need that in my life.”

The MAGA Meltdown over Biden withdrawing is telling. They are scared. Their claims about this change being the greatest threat to democracy ever is laughable.

This line of attack by them is so weak, but it shows they have nothing else. When they can't even acknowledge the public pressure and polling that was asking Biden to step aside for another candidate, you know they're worried. Democrats need to start hammering Republicans endlessly on Trumps age. "Why are you running a 78-year old candidate, the oldest in history to run for president, who is constantly falling asleep wherever he sits and who can't string a coherent thought together? Why? Why? Why? Oh look, there's Trump falling asleep again. Does he need a nap?"

Pound his arse to the ground. A string of advertisements showing Trump falling asleep everywhere would be perfect. "Asleep in court, asleep on the job!"

So based on Miller’s twisted logic, no matter what happens to a candidate, he must never drop out of a race. He could be on death’s door, but democracy requires him to stay in a race. Would he be saying this if Trump had been hit in the brain and further cognitively impaired?

Are we going to hear from Biden about this? It's very odd he hasn't addressed the public in front of a camera about dropping out. Is Covid the reason why we haven't heard from him?

The party that claims to be the protector of democracy has now fixed 2 primaries in 2016 and 2020 against Bernie and it looks like they will rig this process as well to try to prevent giving the delegates any choices.

It looks like the plan is to fall behind Harris. Voters obviously didn't vote for her. You would think if you are protecting democracy that you wouldn't use a process that allows the elites to pick the candidate as opposed to the voters.

I understand MAGA is upset that it’s looking like there won’t be a contested convention, creating disarray and fertile ground for litigation.

I think Democratic voters can decide for ourselves if we think we’ve been denied a fair process. We already know y’all don’t actually care.

In 2016, 2020, and 2024, we’ve worked our way to picking a nominee without storming a federal building and killing police officers. I like our way better.

Here you go, Joe's phone number, give him a call.

Then get back with us about what he said. I'm interested, but I don't like to talk on phones.

Nope. I'm not upset at all. Just calling attention to the protecting democracy narrative being nothing more than a campaign slogan which is even more obvious now.

When do the voters get to vote on the next nominee?

If there would be some kind of an open primary at the convention, it would be lobbyists selecting the candidates.

I would think an actual protector of democracy would be confused by the Democrats actions.

One half of the ticket that Democratic voters overwhelmingly supported in the primaries is looking like the presumptive nominee. Support for her from party members has been swift and decided. Fundraising continues on a record pace.

Nobody on this side is being persuaded by what a shrieking Stephen Miller or Twitter bots are spewing.
