I was looking for a place to put this so we could discuss but didn't really find a place that worked so I created this thread so we can all place articles, experiences, videos and examples of racism in the USA.

This is one that happened this week. The lady even called and filed a complaint on the officer. This officer also chose to wear the body cam (apparently, LA doesn't require this yet). This exchange wasn't necessarily racist IMO until she started with the "mexican racist...you will never be white, like you want" garbage. That is when it turned racist IMO

All the murderer and other insults, I think are just a by product of CRT and ACAB rhetoric that is very common on the radical left and sadly is being brought to mainstream in this country.

Another point that I think is worth mentioning is she is a teacher and the sense of entitlement she feels is mind blowing.

Yes. It reminds me of the argument you just made and how you lack not only the ability to see nuance but also the ability to put together a logical position.

I've been to drag events geared toward kids. There was no grinding, no stuffing of money into undergarments, and nothing remotely sexual. I've also seen no proof of your claim that public schools are "pushing drag shows".

I believe I accurately pointed out the hypocrisy of your position. Can you clear that up or do you find it more acceptable for a man to go out in public dressed as a nazi than as a woman?
On halloween? I find it acceptable to dress whatever you want to on Halloween. Why do you feel the need to shame someone for a costume of all things?

I have no doubt you attended a drag show for kids. On that drag show for kids. Why? Why was the event planned? What was the goal for the kids?

I'm saying that the statement you made, "Children being able to see grown men dressed as women gyrate on the floor for $1 bills and that backed by our public education system" is a blatant lie.

A Lancaster, Pennsylvania school is in hot water for allowing its LGBTQ club to stage a drag show on school property without parent’s permission.

Leaked photos and videos show several provocatively dressed drag queens flaunting across the school’s stage performing lewd dance moves in front of a group of minors.

Not necessarily but I think they viewed that as a definite bonus to their action. I think that made them happier about what they had done.
Notice you did a lot of "I think" they are racist so therefore they are racist.

Connect the list to your claim or drink a big glass of shut the flock up.

You are obviously comfortable with censorship (actual government censorship) if it involves something you want censored. But you also want to prevent private companies from being able to control what is said on their own property.

You’re not being consistent here.
Private companies? You left out the part about the government telling those companies what they want censored. Pretty important detail that involves the first amendment.

Apparently MLK wasn't removed from that curriculum. Check out the note at the bottom of the tweet:

Maybe that guy should change the name of his show to Lie with Brian Tyler Cohen.
I looked at the list. ”White”-washing comes to mind.

some small points…

Reagan and Thatcher were idiots.

The South should have completely and utterly destroyed.

Rah-rah-ism isn’t teaching history, it is grooming. Nice to know you guys are groomers.

It is, if you don't want CRT taught in schools. And boy, do you have an issue with CRT.

Yes, it means you are pro-censorship.
According to your definition of pro-censorship, everyone would be pro-censorship because everyone is against something.

Yes I am totally against CRT or CRT lite.

John McWhorter: "what alarms many parents and other observers is that kids will absorb the idea that it is enlightened to see white people as potential oppressors and Black people as perpetual victims of an inherently oppressive system. That it is therefore appropriate to ascribe certain traits to races, rather than individuals, and that education must “center” the battle against power differentials between groups and the subtle perceptions that they condition.

An implication some educators draw from these tenets is that various expectations of some of their students, based on what are generally thought to be ordinary mainstream assumptions, are instead onerous stipulations from an oppressive white-centric view. Hence an idea that it is white to be on time, arrive at precise answers and reason from A to B, rather than holistically, etc. Again, this is not what decades-old critical race theory scholarship proposed, but yes, the idea is descended from original C.R.T.’s fundamental propositions about white supremacy."

I don't understand how anyone can support that.

You made a list. How special. Now support your claim that this organization allows children to see "grown men dressed as women gyrate on the floor for $1 bills and that backed by our public education system."

An event arranged by one teacher for an after-school club is not the same as being "backed by our public education system," especially since the district (you know, "the system") took immediate action when they were made aware.

On halloween? I find it acceptable to dress whatever you want to on Halloween. Why do you feel the need to shame someone for a costume of all things?

Do you think dressing up as a klansman is ok? How about blackface?

I have no doubt you attended a drag show for kids. On that drag show for kids. Why? Why was the event planned? What was the goal for the kids?

The goal was for the kids to have a fun time and meet people that they normally wouldn't meet and experience a part of the culture that they normally wouldn't experience. And it was a success. Nobody gyrated for any reason and no money was stuffed anywhere.

This is why you need to read primary sources rather than just taking what twitter gives you.

Page 2 is a reference to how people celebrate MLK day (among other holidays), and only a tangential reference to the man himself, with no real reference to his legacy or the civil rights era.

Page 22/23 are multiple objectives within the same unit. They're also 6th grade, which many districts treat as middle school.

Page 38 is a reference to Martin Luther, the Protestant reformer, and not Martin Luther King, Jr. It's also 10th grade. This one is particularly clown shirt.

Page 48 is a reference to the legacy of MLK and the civil rights era, but it's for 11th grade.

So really, there are 3 objectives in 2 units that cover the legacy of MLK from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Over the course of 13 years of grade school, students will hear about MLK three times, with one of those coming in Kindergarten in reference to the holiday.

If 6th grade is considered middle school, then there are zero objectives discussing the legacy of MLK other than the fact that he has a holiday and people celebrate it by staying home and not really doing much, and it's covered in kindergarten where they almost certainly won't remember any of it anyway.

Fact check rating: Mostly True

You’ve never ever proved there was any government telling them what to censor. Never ever once

Was just coming to post this. As soon as I saw SFL tweet I knew what he was trying to get away with.

Being against something and wanting to censor it are two entirely different things.
