I fear we are really going to be in a bad place due to the obvious cuts to the federal agencies that deal with infectious disease, but also the negative effect the Affordable Care act has had on non urban hospitals. Our front line defenses are ineffectual and our ability to treat the populous is probably at an all time low. Factor in the cost of healthcare and I can see our system crashing. What do you think about the politics of this virus?

I just saw that Chuck. We cannot survive as a representative democracy if we have this level of treacherous poison being fed to our citizens daily. He’s old enough to remember what it was like, which means he’s deliberately lying to make people feel like they are somehow the victims in this pandemic.

Not the people who died. Not the healthcare workers who gave their lives before we had a vaccine, not the essential workers who stayed on the job while everyone else stayed home in the beginning. Not the people who have serious chronic health issues now because they got Covid.

No it’s people who refuse to take a safe and effective vaccine against all public health and medical advice, they are the real victims here.

In our case, it should be insurance companies and Medicare/Medicaid that stops covering the medical bills for infected people who are unvaccinated by choice. I bet their "research" would change pretty quick.
