I fear we are really going to be in a bad place due to the obvious cuts to the federal agencies that deal with infectious disease, but also the negative effect the Affordable Care act has had on non urban hospitals. Our front line defenses are ineffectual and our ability to treat the populous is probably at an all time low. Factor in the cost of healthcare and I can see our system crashing. What do you think about the politics of this virus?

I'd love to see Cantrell and the council hold a meeting and vote to withhold any state taxes collected within the city. I hope that the Saints file suit against the state as a result of this if there is any breach of contract. This is unmitigated bullshirt.
I wonder how many of you, like me, walk around at home these days making comments like "That butt crevasse", "Fork that" and "That stupid bastage is full of shirt" now.
    Indeed. So aggravating, lol.

Usually when that happens there is a post within the thread with a badly coded link within it that is causing it. I tried rebuilding the thread and that didn't work. Usually, I can quickly find and identify it, but I am having trouble doing so on this thread. So I would likely have to go through all 418 pages looking for it. I just don't have the time right now.

Yeah, it's a minor inconvenience. No rush. I had assumed it was a result of deleted posts causing the the end of the thread to truncate a page short of the end. Sort of like the thread thinks there's 100 posts when there's actually only 90.

butt crevasses, every single one of them, led by the lead butt crevasse, the attorney general...

I work in circles where there is a decent chance I'd run into Landry one of these days. If I do I'll say: "Bro, we get it, you are running for Governor. All you have to do is say '2nd Amendment 2 Amendment Trump Trump Trump' and you'll win. Enough with the mask whining!"

The problem has been corrected, at least on my end.

I was reading about that “work ethic” today and how it needs to be rejected. Providing everyone with adequate sick leave would be a start, but more important would be the culture of the workplace. I have worked in hospitals for my entire career and i have seen them change the culture of expecting people to come in as long as they could drag themselves out of their beds, to “please stay home if you’re sick”. We would all rather work short than get exposed to something.

The same thing needs to happen everywhere else, IMO.

What the hell is wrong with people? Thinking in the age of Covid that it's ok for someone sick to still come to work? Raging jackass is right.

Nevermind the age of covid. It was NEVER okay for someone to go into work sick. The US has cultivated one of the most toxic work cultures in the world. All we're really missing are nets to catch people jumping out of windows to their deaths.

The 40 hour work week, designed by unions to benefit workers' pay, has been twisted into a sick parody.

You don't work 60+ hours a week? You must be a lazy piece of shirt. Why aren't you hustling harder?

It didn't work for me. I clicked next to get to page 420, and it took me to page 1 again. I just click the page number, so it is a minor inconvenience, but it is aggravating.

I think what happens is when the last page gets a certain number, it adds the new page number even though it's not filling that last page.

    Yup!

Don't know what the deal is there. I will be upgrading the site and forum software in a day or two. Perhaps that might fix the issue.
