I fear we are really going to be in a bad place due to the obvious cuts to the federal agencies that deal with infectious disease, but also the negative effect the Affordable Care act has had on non urban hospitals. Our front line defenses are ineffectual and our ability to treat the populous is probably at an all time low. Factor in the cost of healthcare and I can see our system crashing. What do you think about the politics of this virus?

Think back to the debates in the last election. Do you remember Trump snapping back at Hillary’s comment about his temperament and telling her that she’d be in jail? Compare that to Biden stumbling around with his answers.

Last debate, people were happy Trump didn’t crap himself on stage. No one is expecting anything from Biden which is funny since he has been considered a good debater. Look at the past two VP debates. He does better one in one versus a group debate.
Guess we will see in a couple months if Trump doesn’t chicken out.

That’s not what I got from the last debate. If you think for a minute Trump will chicken out you need to slow dow. If you keep smoking at the rate you’d have to be at to believe it you’ll be out before the quarantine is over.

Oh believe me, I know how it would be answered...but it would be fun to watch him flounder around for a bit as he tried to figure out which of his standby answers to go to.

And, it would get the point out there to the public, that this administration is either not communicating, or someone is actively hiding important things.

Can anyone explain to me why this isn’t just appalling that the president is getting worked up about a fairly friendly media outlet because they fail to mention his television ratings during a national crisis? I just don’t understand how this guy is where he is.

I was going to say we've become a nation lacking in empathy but, from my perspective, it is something that we seemingly have always struggled with. We have our moments but we can be such a selfish bunch. That our leader is completely devoid of the emotion, in some ways, surely shouldn't surprise us but, honestly, I am. 17 million filings for unemployment in 3 weeks. A third of renters didn't pay rent this month. And he tweets about ratings.

We can debate until the cows come home about how much or how little his Administration did and how much and how little he is responsible for this situation but, in this area, being an emotional leader, just being a man with empathy, he is failing. And it's free. He could offer it and give it, free of charge, and he doesn't, perhaps can't. The persons who could hold him accountable for it, don't. And that, that is most appalling thing of all.

They are some of the best ratings in the history of ratings.

Joe Rogan was talking about a prior tweet of his bragging about his ratings.
