Didn't really see a place for this so I thought I would start a thread about all things LGBTQ since this is a pretty hot topic in our culture right now

I will admit, I was hopeful for this decision by the SCOTUS but I was surprised by the unanimous decision.

While I don't think there is anything wrong, per se, with same sex couples adopting and raising children (I actually think it is a good thing as it not an abortion) but I also did not want to see the state force a religious institution to bend to a societal norm.

Personally, I take my kids to events so I can both expose them to sports/culture/just have a good time , but more importantly, to interact with them. I don't drop them off at the football game or hockey game and expect someone else to interact with them. Someone reading to them, I don't get to interact with them.

Now, I can throw a ball with them, act out some scene, or just run around the backyard pretending we are airplanes, but I cannot give them the experience of going to a game, or act out Hamilton for them.

Reading? That I can do.

And, since I can read to them, I don't find any value in taking my kids to have male adult entertainers, costumed in a clownish version of how a woman dresses, read to them. But you do, right? I take it you and your wife are too busy to read to your kids?

so, you are saying you NEVER have taken your kids to an event out of pure entertainment. 100% of the time.
there was always a lesson or a teaching moment, every single time.

This entire issue revolves around the concept and the lie filled myth of "normal." This is what normal means in the context that SaintForLife is using the word:

SaintForLife and his cohorts want to shut down and ban people who were drag from reading to children simply because they want everyone to conform to what they consider acceptable behavior. They want to prevent other people from deviating away from how they want them to act.

They want to force everyone to act and think the way they do and they will punish anyone who doesn't conform or who dares to deviate from what they dictate is allowed and accepted.

SaintForLife and his cohorts make up and/or believe lies about people who wear drag, because they know you'll tell them to eff off if they honestly tell you that they really just want to be able force everyone to live by their rules.

Don't fall for the lies. Tell them to eff off and do not vote for anyone that supports the demonizing and dehumanizing of people. Those people eventually turn on everyone, including you, every time they are given the control over others that they so desperately lust for.

You got me. That is exactly what I meant. Debate with this dishonesty is just exhausting but when your stance is based just on emotion, that is really is all you have so not unexpected.

I would imagine the groomers tend to get a 'rise' out of dressing up in their fetish gear and parading around around in front of children and you know it, but they are allies or something, right?

Gender dysphoria isn't a mental illness, it is a medical condition.

Why do i take my kids to football games, baseball games? why does my wife take my kids to see broadway type plays? Lion King, Wicked, Annie, Grease, Hamilton etc?
We do not have to "teach" our kids anything by going to an event. There is never a goal or "lesson" when we take our kids to somehting. I guess i need to figure out what kind of lesson i should have taught my son when we went to the Dinosaur show and the Lego Brickfest or what the goal was and what i hope he learned...
You have the mindset that Drag Queens have an agenda.. thats where it shows me how weak your mind really is.

Do you take your kids to any kind of event? Football games, Baseball, Hockey, a movie, maybe bowling? do you have a goal or a lesson to every event you attend with your kids? The Saints used to have a male on the Saintssation dance team. I guess you would refuse to take your kids to a Saints game for that reason.

That question is one of the worse questons i have ever seen you ask, and believe me when i say i consider most of your questions pretty dumb...

For being a dumb question, it sure seemed to strike a nerve.
It will never cease to amaze me how someone, not you of course, will overlook their failings to another person just for the endorphin rush of a good virtue signal. The smug self enlightened feeling of knowing you are superior human that is all 'inclusive' or whatever catch phrase the hive mind is using these days.

And yes, I do take my kids to church, movies and football games for example. I don't take them to listen to men dressed in fetish gear read to them just like I don't take them to a strip club or an 'R' rated movie because I love my kids and it is my job to let them have a childhood not use them as a pawn to achieve my personal endorphin rush

Taking your kids to those things is quite different that taking them to see a man dressed up as a woman. Unless there are drag cheerleaders gyrating at those game then it might be similar.

Do you at least understand why people think it's very odd to have young kids around men who dress like women and gyrate and make sexual motions? I don't understand why sexualizing children is needed to make drag Queens or trans people more accepted.

It actually is damaging to the trans community as a whole.

because they tie that into "indoctrination". they are simply worried that a person in drag will somehow influence children to be gay, or it's some kind of pedophile thing.. which is funny because more priests, scout leaders, sports coaches do that on a daily basis would Even register on the radar when it comes to Drag Queens..

The people defending the experiments on vulnerable kids don't care. It's all about protecting the trans kids from the evil right wingers who think hormone blockers and sex changes for minors is a bad thing.

They are awfully quiet about the WPATH Files and the Cass Review that have exposed much of the trans medical officials as liars and frauds.

As long as they don't acknowledge it, it doesn't exist. Not unlike trans kids, who really don't exist.
