Didn't really see a place for this so I thought I would start a thread about all things LGBTQ since this is a pretty hot topic in our culture right now

    https://www.cnbc.com/2021/06/17/sup...y-that-refuses-to-work-with-lgbt-couples.html

    • The Supreme Court on Thursday delivered a unanimous defeat to LGBT couples in a high-profile case over whether Philadelphia could refuse to contract with a Roman Catholic adoption agency that says its religious beliefs prevent it from working with same-sex foster parents.
    • Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in an opinion for a majority of the court that Philadelphia violated the First Amendment by refusing to contract with Catholic Social Services once it learned that the organization would not certify same-sex couples for adoption.

I will admit, I was hopeful for this decision by the SCOTUS but I was surprised by the unanimous decision.

While I don't think there is anything wrong, per se, with same sex couples adopting and raising children (I actually think it is a good thing as it not an abortion) but I also did not want to see the state force a religious institution to bend to a societal norm.

Kid Rock had a very violent response to Bud Light for collaborating with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, but trans advocates told him it was time "he transitioned to 'Adult Rock' by growing the f*** up."

Mulvaney revealed on Sunday to her Instagram followers that Bud Light had sent her a personalized can with her face on it to commemorate 365 days since she began her gender transition.

The influencer rose to fame on TikTok with her Day 365 Of Girlhood video series which has been a viral success and has documented her first year in her transgender journey.

Rock—given name Robert James Ritchie—posted a video to his social media accounts which started with him standing with his back to the camera wearing a baseball cap backwards which read MAGA (Make America Great Again).

When he turned around to look at the camera, Rock, 52, had a message for the beer brand.

"Grandpa is feeling a little frisky today. Let me tell you as clear and concise as possible," the rapper said as the shot widened to reveal Rock holding a semi-automatic rifle.

He cocked the gun and began shooting a rapid fire of bullets at several cases of Bud Light which had been placed on top of a table by a river.

Rock shot at the cases of beer until they burst open and liquid poured out of them before he turned back to the camera, where he raised his middle finger.

"F*** Bud Light and f*** Anheuser-Busch," Rock shouted, referring to the parent company which owns the popular beer brand.

The video has been seen more than 213,000 times on Instagram and 2.3 million times on Twitter in the two hours since it was posted.

But transgender advocates slammed the violent video, with one saying it made her feel "sick" and "heartbroken."

"It felt violent and threatening, and made my fear for the people I love who are trans come to the fore yet again as hate is celebrated. What are we becoming as human beings that this kind of behavior is tolerated?" Susie Green, community director of GenderGP, a transgender health provider, told Newsweek.

"Cheered on even. It's sickening and shameful."

As for Gemma Stone, the co-founder of news site Trans Writes, Rock's display was a perfect "example of fragile masculinity" and in the video he "managed to come across as even less masculine than the incredibly feminine Dylan Mulvaney, whom his impotent protest is about. Bravo Kiddo."

"I hope Kid Rock has a very fun time buying things he doesn't like politically and then shooting them in his garden. But it would probably be better if he transitioned to Adult Rock by growing the f*** up," Stone told Newsweek.

The writer added that she was more concerned about Bud Light's support of the transgender community as it comes under increasing attacks in the U.S. including hundreds of proposed bills in different state to strip back transgender rights and access to healthcare.

"What I want to know is what are they doing to support their transgender staff and staff with transgender family amidst this moral panic? How are they working to oppose the over 300 anti-trans bills in the U.S. currently? What are their policies in regards to trans healthcare? Pronouns on a can is a gesture but its an empty one if they aren't putting in the work," Stone told Newsweek.

Conservative commentators reacted with anger upon Mulvaney's Instagram post revealing her face on the can of Bud Light.

"The good news is that Bud Light tastes like rain water that someone siphoned out of a tin bucket so it should be very easy to boycott," Matt Walsh, a conservative commentator, tweeted on Sunday...............

So you can accept that many organisms in nature change sex, but you can’t accept that somewhere in human biology, which evolved from a shared ancestor to these organisms at some point, there could be potentially gender-bending remnants in their brains, and that it would be completely natural?
    Why do you do this?

I never said that I don't accept what you claim I don't accept (although I do have an issue with the use of the term "gender-bending" when referring to evolutionary ancestors, but that's another discussion).

What I said is simply a male of the species (not a fetus, not ancestors through hundreds of thousands of years of evolution) cannot transform into a female of the species (again, not a fetus, not ancestors through hundreds of thousands of years of evolution) or vise versa.

So, to make it as clear as I can, Bruce Jenner (male of the species) can change his name to Kaitlyn, pronouns from he to she, get boob implants and estrogen shots, wear a dress and make up, even chop off the junk (which Jenner didn't, according to Jenner)... still, Jenner did not transform into a female of the species.

    Is that clear now?

As for it being "natural", yet again, for the nth time, there are lot of human conditions that are natural, and we don't have a problem recognizing those conditions and accepting the limitations those conditions impose on individuals; even as we try to mitigate/ameliorate those conditions, there are still limitations that we have no issue with, like people of average height or weight not being able to race horses in derbies, or the severe lack of daily life accommodations for people with dwarfism, etc. We also have no issues with creating divisions for people with certain conditions, like weight divisions or age divisions, even entire sporting events/divisions dedicated to people with certain natural conditions... but when it comes to the condition of believing on should be "man"/"woman" instead of "woman"/"man", then it is all or "you phobic".

You can continue to say I didn't address your point, but the text is there.

I quoted everything you said and none of it addressed a single thing. Your ability to lie so easily in the face of something so plainly obvious is Trumpian.

I didn't know that Kid Rock was such a jerk. I'm going to drink more Anheuser Busch, but I know more haters will probably boycott it. Sadly, there are probably more beer drinking haters, than tolerant beer drinking people, so Anheuser may lose some business.

I doubt that many people are paying attention to Kid Rock, but who knows.

Yes we must look into the well known and growing scourge of violent transgendered militias that have spread nationwide

Shooting after shooting by someone with white supremacy group ties and crickets

One shooting by a transgender and it’s a problem that must be eradicated

    ==========================
Anti-transgender rhetoric and disinformation in the days following the shooting at a Nashville Christian school that killed six people have heightened the fears of a community already on edge amid a historic push for more restrictions on trans people’s rights this year.

Authorities haven’t shared any evidence linking Audrey Hale’s gender identity to the motive for the attack, which killed three children and three adults at The Covenant School last week.

Yet right-wing commentators, politicians and other figures have cited the shooting as they’ve shared false claims of a rise in transgender mass shooters and suggested that the fight for trans rights is radicalizing people.

Advocates worry the comments are further jeopardizing transgender people by turning them into scapegoats, at a time when they’re speaking out against a wave of bills focused on trans people in statehouses across the country.

“We’ve certainly seen the uptick in transphobic rhetoric in the past week, even directed towards our own public platforms, and there have absolutely been community members that are wearier of being in the public eye,” the Trans Empowerment Project, an advocacy and support group based in Tennessee, said in a statement.

The rhetoric has come even from members of Congress, with Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene questioningwhether the shooter was on hormone replacement therapy or medications to treat mental illness.

Donald Trump Jr., the former president’s son, suggestedthe FBI and Justice Department monitor “violent factions within the trans community.” In Idaho, the head of the state Republican Party invoked the shooting as she called for the governor to sign legislation banning gender affirming medical care for minors……….

The pro-LGBTQ+ founder of a progressive news site covering Tennessee politics says his home was targeted in a late-night shooting over the weekend. He has recently gotten attention online for breaking the story of Tennessee’s anti-LGBTQ+ lieutenant governor liking gay thirst pics on Instagram and asking the state’s anti-drag governor about his past dressing in drag.

    Luckily, no one was hurt.

The Trump judge wrote a scathing critique of the bill, which he said was “vague and over-broad.”

On Thursday, Tennessee Holler founder and former U.S. congressional candidate Justin Kanew tweeted a statement describing the incident. “On Saturday night, someone targeted our home by shooting several bullets into our house while my family was sleeping,” he wrote. “This violence has no place in a civilized society and we are thankful no one was physically hurt.”

“The authorities have not completed their investigation and right now we do not know for sure the reason for this attack,” Kanew continued. “We urge the Williamson County Sheriff’s office to continue to investigate this crime and help shed light on Saturday’s unfortunate events and bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice.”........

A presidential action which I think is well thought out. It's the major exception which I think ought to make it work. Without that relief valve this issue will never be resolved. With that relief valve included most trans kids can play under most circumstances.

White House Backs New Rule Blocking Trans Athlete Bans—With A Major Exception

The Biden Administration proposed new regulations Thursday aimed at curbing blanket bans keeping transgender athletes from participating in school sports, but it included a significant loophole letting school teams develop their own policies in what the Education Department billed as a compromise position on the increasingly volatile culture war issue.

The new rule would add language to Title IX—a law prohibiting gender-based discrimination in school activities—stating individual teams at public schools and universities can ban athletes from competing on teams outside of their sex assigned at birth if factors like competitive fairness come into question.

However, the proposed rule would not allow schools to impose a “one-size-fits-all policy that categorically bans transgender students from participating on teams consistent with their gender identity”—after more than a dozen states passed sweeping laws restricting transgender school athletes.

The proposed policy appears to leave it solely at teams’ discretion to determine policies on transgender participation, but the Education Department said they should take into account “level of competition, and grade or education level” when coming up with rules.

The Education Department said, ideally, transgender restrictions should only be used for highly competitive sports at the high school or college levels, since elementary and middle school sports are generally more focused on “basic skills in physical fitness, leadership, and teamwork.”

    CRUCIAL QUOTE

“For older students, especially at the high school and college level, the Department expects that sex-related criteria that limit participation of some transgender students may be permitted, in some cases, when they enable the school to achieve an important educational objective, such as fairness in competition,” the Education Department said in a fact sheet.

This Kid Rock? The Kid Rock in this picture who is drinking a Bud Lite while wearing a Coors hat and sitting next to a cross dresser at a party at his house?
