    Everything I've seen and heard says that the split second Donald Trump is no longer president there will be flood of charges waiting for him

    And if he resigns and Pence pardons him there are a ton of state charges as an understudy waiting in the wings if the fed charges can't perform

    What do you think the likelihood of there being a jail sentence?

    In every movie and TV show I've ever seen, in every political thriller I've ever read about a criminal and corrupt president there is ALWAYS some version of;

    "We can't do that to the country",

    "A trial would tear the country apart",

    "For the nation to heal we need to move on" etc.

    Would life imitate art?

    Even with the charges, even with the proof the charges are true will the powers that be decide, "we can't do that to the country"?

    Can we please stay on topic? Trump will die before ever seeing a jail cell.

    Sadly, it's looking more and more likely. I'd have sworn a few years ago that he'd die in jail, but it look like the DOJ is too chickensheet to charge him on what they've already got.

    Not good when your accounting firm fires you and says that past decade of filings was total bullshirt
    ========================

    Donald Trump’s longtime accountancy firm cut ties with his business last week, saying that nearly a decade’s worth of Trump’s filings should “no longer be relied upon”.

    The move comes amid ongoing criminal and civil investigations into whether Trump illegally inflated the value of his assets.

    In a letter to the Trump Organization dated 9 February, William Kelly, US general counsel of the accountancy firm Mazars, said Trump’s financial statements for the period 30 June 2011 to 30 June 2020 “should no longer be replied upon and you should inform any recipients thereof who are currently relying upon one or more of those documents that those documents should not be relied upon”.

    Mazars added it would no longer “provide any new work product to the Trump Organization”……

    Are there separate suits for all the cites that say Trump never paid for his rallies?

    And I believe “all the cities” is literally all the cities he’s held a rally in

    ======================================================

    A Washington, DC judge reinstated the Trump Organization as a defendant in a lawsuit brought by the district's attorney general over whether former President Donald Trump misused funds for his 2017 inauguration — reversing an earlier decision and handing a major loss to Trump as the case heads to trial.

    DC Attorney General Karl A. Racine filed the civil lawsuit in January 2020. He accused the Trump Organization, the Trump International Hotel in DC, and Trump's 2017 presidential inaugural committee, which is a tax-exempt nonprofit, of using tax-free funds to improperly pay the Trump Organization and members of the Trump family.

    In November, DC Superior Court Judge José M. López cleaved the Trump Organization off the case, ruling that Racine's office didn't bring enough evidence to establish the company may have broken the law.

    Racine filed a motion for reconsideration later that month. On December 31, the case was transferred to a different judge, Yvonne Williams, who ruled Wednesday night that the Trump Organization should remain in the case after all...........

    I liked Conway’s interpretation:

    Me too, I interpreted 3 out of the 4 similar to how he did...especially the last one....I would really like to think this is the beginning of the end for Trump....in financial fraud/tax evasion cases this is typically been the kiss of death....but I'm to the point now where I'll believe it when I see it....

    Maybe we can have a bet on who sees prison time first, Clinton or Trump?

    Lol, good one. The only way Clinton goes to prison is if you guys win and start throwing the opposition party in jail, much like Putin. That seems to be your playbook.

    Taking off your troll hat, seriously, what crime do you imagine Hillary has committed?

    Easy, murder. Everyone knows that...
