This organisation and its reach is seriously scary. When the head of the New York Police Department's second-largest police union openly shows his support of this "organisation" then something is seriously wrong!

The head of the New York Police Department's second-largest police union gave a television interview Friday afternoon while sitting in front of a mug emblazoned with QAnon imagery and slogans.

The mug behind Mullins featured the word "QANON" and the hashtag #WWG1WGA, which stands for "where we go one, we go all," a popular slogan among QAnon supporters. At the center of the mug was a large letter Q, which refers to a supposed government insider who, according to QAnon supporters, posts cryptic clues on the Internet about the "deep state."

More than a year ago, the FBI reportedly assessed that QAnon was a dangerous movement that was likely to inspire its most extreme members to commit violent acts of domestic terrorism.

In recent weeks, QAnon supporters have been posting videos of themselves reciting an oath and repeating the "where we go one, we go all" catchphrase that is seen on the mug. They say they are preparing "digital soldiers" for an apocalyptic reckoning, when thousands of "deep state" pedophiles will be arrested and prosecuted at military courts at Guantanamo Bay.

And more than a quarter of Democrats... That seems improbable to me.

That's actually not a correct calculation, as there were other choices (including not sure and 'never heard of it'). Only 9% of Democrats said either it was mostly true or partially true.

Here's the full results of the whole survey, it's pretty interesting. On the "will you take a Covid vaccine?" question, 52% of Republicans said no.

55% is a terrifying number. IMO, anyway.
Well as terrible as that is just imagine place you have to be mentally to be a Trump supporter in the first place.

Realistically he doesn't fit in any of the boxes and being a rabid Trump person is really not much of a stone throw away from Q.

    It is all crazy.

Honestly, I have family who are Trump supporters. They’re not terrible people, but they are completely brainwashed by listening to right wing media and FB. They just aren’t really critical consumers of their news. They believe the stuff that is said and repeated by Trump and his enablers and they don’t read other sources.

If I found out they were believing Q crap, well, that’s just crazy town.

So by simple math, we have 3-5 on this board who believe some of what the QAnon folk believe. That seems... high

I think it is important to understand what they mean by partially true. Especially in the context of the question

for example, I would believe some here or “regular” Trump voters might believe In the Deep State; as dubious as that is.

but I really can’t (don’t want to?) believe that there are members here that think Hillary runs a child sex trafficking and cannibalism ring being fought by Trump and Mueller in secrecy. Certainly that is a bridge too far. Right?

I don't think this board is representative of any broad demographic.

Please, enlighten us...use our names so we know who and what brush you are painting us with.

    @Farb -

you have me wrong. I must have not been clear.

I don’t think ANY of you would fall for that stuff. That is my point that I must not have made very well.

I think the question they asked was kind of leading and when you include “somewhat believe” it opens the door for sensationalism. I was saying that if the Deep State stuff is considered part of QAnon (which it is, sort of) the you might say you somewhat believe it. but then you get lumped in with Pizzagate and all that nonsense which I have no doubt you are too intellegent to fall for.

    again sorry for the confusion

My bad, I took your previous post incorrectly in appears. I might have been a tad defensive. Apologies.

I do believe in a from of the deep state, so you are correct on that. I don't follow the Qannon stuff but some of the the things I have read in the past, kind of make some sense. However, some of that stuff is flat out crazytown.

So maybe you can classify me as a somewhat believe? I guess you original statement was correct after all....LOL.

    It all good Farb.

I know you are a good guy. I wouldn’t ever think that about you. You are way too smartfor that junk.

And that was my illmade point. By asking that then they put an article together that says 30% of a Republicans believe in QAnon. Which is ridiculous. 30% might believe in the Deep State stuff- and again there is an argument there (even if I think it is dubious).

    it’s just bad reporting

The QAnon people are idiots and I know a few people I work with that are believers. They are smart people so it's concerning that they fall for that crap. They get all their news from far right sources so it's not surprising they fell for it.

The left has some elements that are similar although probably not as crazy as QAnon.

67 percent of Democrats believe it is "definitely true" or "probably true" that "Russia tampered with vote tallies in order to get Donald Trump elected." There is no evidence that Russia tampered with vote tallies.

    you're trying too hard...

A confusingly-worded question about Russian influence is pretty tame compared to things like Pizzagate or the CIA's installation of Kim Jong Un as a puppet dictator

I mean, both might be delusional, but they aren't comparable and the insistence on false equivalency only serves to undermine your credibility on issues like this

I would have thought reading comprehension would be a strength for you but apparently it's not. I said:

    Confusingly-worded? 😆 Okay dude.

Honestly, I think FB and other social media platforms (but especially FB) are destroying this country. And I say that without hyperbole.
