It’s so repulsive to see people cheering for what is basically 80% the same thing as the Holocaust - different end result but otherwise very similar.

Economists have said it would tank the economy and cause inflation - notwithstanding the cost.

Is it going to actually happen or is this Build The Wall 2.0?

Tell me again about how this need to resolved by bi-partisan effort. Hell, Republicans tried to kill the Reagan Immigration bill. Republicans are not interested in addressing an issue that they can ALWAYS rely on for campaign red meat.
Perhaps. But you might convince a few. You at least are working to put up alternate ideas instead of just being anti Trump. People have heard all that before. It might be a good idea to give them something to vote for. He still polls ahead of Dems on immigration. So if you have nothing better to put forward. That will not change.

You know the saying, if you are not the lead dog, the view never changes. How’s the view? If you want to take back an issue, you might have to actually put forward an alternate plan. Otherwise, get used to the view.

Are Republicans working on an Immigration Bill today? I'm not even talking about some bi-partisan effort, I'm asking if they have even a concept of an immigration bill?

I bet that we'll hear about this magical big beautiful immigration bill in 2 weeks, amirite?

I came across this but it appears to be bogus. It says 2nd Battalion 23ed Marines.

The problem with that is it's the 2nd Battalion 7th Marines who have been sent to LA.

The 2nd Battalion 23ed marines are in S Korea for a combined force exercise.

Maybe that's why they refused to move into LA. That's a hell of a commute.

None that I have heard. So there is an opening.

Okay. So what next? Give up? Try again? Whine more? Complain more?

Many times people who want change, don’t give up quite so easily. Sometimes they succeed.

The next step is to stop voting for the party that keeps killing the immigration reform you keep calling for. Seems like common sense to me.

    Heaven help us:

Our useless Secretary of Defence doesn't even know who's who in our military. The Marines are not coming from Camp Pendleton, they are coming from 29 Palms.
Has anyone seen his orders yet? UI am sure he accidentally shared them with the world.

Do you believe that H.R. 1 is solid, responsible Legislation that is designed to provide quality service to U.S. Citizens?

Donald Trump’s administration is reportedly preparing to send thousands of illegal immigrants to the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, as soon as this week, marking a rapid escalation of the president’s mass deportation agenda which could target hundreds of people from European allied countries.

Immigration officials are considering whether to transfer as many as 9,000 foreign nationals, including people from the United Kingdom as well as Ireland, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Poland, Turkey and Ukraine, according to reporting from The Washington Post and Politico.

Officials are not expected to inform their home countries about their imminent transfers to the notorious facility, which opened in 2002 at the height of the War on Terror.

Most European allies accept deportees from the United States to their home countries, making it unclear why the Trump administration would first force them into a detention camp roundly condemned by international human rights groups……..

Notorious white nationalist Nick Fuentes is declaring that the “groypers have won” after several prominent MAGA influencers openly called to “ban all third world immigration” amid the ongoing protests in Los Angeles over Donald Trump's migrant crackdown.

Amid the White House’s push to up its deportation numbers in recent weeks, sparked by Trump adviser Stephen Miller’s angry demand that ICE agents “step it up” and target day laborers rather than just violent criminals, the administration conducted an immigration raid at a Home Depot in a predominantly Latino neighborhood in LA.

The migrant sweeps in the city sparked a weekend of increasingly volatile protests, including outside the city’s federal detention center, which in turn resulted in the president deploying 4,000 National Guard soldiers and 700 Marines in response, despite objections from the city’s mayor and California Governor Gavin Newsom.

The fiery scenes of law enforcement clashing with protesters – some of whom were seen flying Mexican flags – has led many in the MAGA media world to veer even further right from their already extremely hawkish positions on immigration. And they were being less than subtle with their position on who should and shouldn’t be allowed to enter the United States.

“Ban all third world immigration. Legal or illegal,” Daily Wire podcaster Matt Walshtweeted on Monday. “There should be a moratorium on all immigration from the third world. We’ve reached our capacity. We cannot be the world’s soup kitchen anymore.”…….

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noembranded all of Los Angeles “a city of criminals”as she defended the actions of the Trump administration.

Noem blasted Mayor Karen Bass for describing LA as “a city of immigrants,” suggesting that violence had erupted because the mayor had “protected them for years.” The city is the second largest in the U.S. and has a population of almost four million people.…….

Americans are not backing the Los Angeles protests with only a third taking the side of those standing up against the ICE deportation raids, a new poll finds.

Around one in three Americans (36 percent) said they approve of the protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement, compared to 45 percent who disapprove, a YouGov poll of more than 4,200 U.S. adultsfound. Of those polled, 19 percent said they were not sure.

It comes as the Trump administration has ramped up its response after protests against sweeping immigration action broke out across the city over the weekend.……
