I guess I didn't see the post where you did that. The only one I saw you post and commented on was that poll that was done for CNN in your post above.

I've never even heard of a DNC media arm.

I don't think there's any chance at all that the DNC will take a position other than to support Biden or Harris for reelection. If Democrats were to try to run anyone besides Biden or Harris the Republicans will end up holding the White House.

I can't think of any time were the incumbent for a Presidential election has been pushed aside and an upstart has won. I think there'd be a jinks on it.

The viable choices are Biden if he so chooses to run, or Harris running in his stead maintaining the incumbency. Anything else would just be a pipe dream by someone or other.

Changing horses in mid stream is just not done. There's no fixed rule about it, but it's just not done.
Just doesn't seem like it'll be Biden to me and Kamala is just not a very good candidate imo.

I'll bet Gavin Newsom.. starting to have those rumors swirl and he's probably as good a bet as any if Biden is not the nominee.

Yeah, no, I was being tongue in cheek. In my biased mind, CNN is run by the DNC.

I understand what you are saying and you are correct but this time is different I think. I think Biden can not win. Even his party is pulling away from him. Harris has not shot at all. She is about as likeable and Pence. I think they are forced to change horses mid-stream.
I think the chances of them maintaining the white house is nil and they know that so they will have to change it up and let someone run that can maybe pull off a victory.

I am wrong a lot, so probably on this too but I just see a path for Biden or Harris to be in the running in 2024.

Times have changed. While it might be unthinkable to deviate from a sitting President and Vice President we are no longer living in an era where the conventional works. As I've said before, going with Biden or Harris is what will guarantee a loss and not the opposite. These two are not popular. This is making the same Hillary Clinton mistake again. I'm not sure what you're seeing that suggests otherwise.

The DNC needs to adjust their strategy and go with someone like Mark Kelly or Raphael Warnock provided they win their reelection bids in the coming midterms. Warnock is doing a particularly good job as coming across as a moderate after his predecessor and opponent tried to paint him -- in comically parroting fashion -- as "Radical Liberal Raphael Warnock."

Edit to add: Jon Fetterman could also be a dark horse candidate if he wins in Pennsylvania this year.

I'm not seeing Biden's unpopularity. I just got done explaining in a post above why I've been ignoring polls. I can't figure out how a poll could be conducted when people like me hang up on a pollster before they can get properly warmed up. But that's the phone climate we have with so many telemarketers and scammers having fouled the phone lines, so I guess from here on out we're going to have to live without political polling.

Insofar as Raphael Warnock, he's of clergy and that means I will never support him for any political office. Done, stop, period!

As a Senator in a state where I do not vote in I guess that does not matter, but insofar as where *I* cast a vote, the fact that he's of clergy means he will not get my support or vote for a political office. It's a mixing of church and state that I will not cross.

Find someone who is not of the clergy.

    :)

I think you may be in somewhat of an echo chamber. Biden is wildly unpopular with most moderates AND progressives I know.

Biden barely beat Trump in 2020 and has not had much success while in office (whether rightly or wrongly attributed to him). I agree that polling is unreliable but, it usually skews in favor of Democrats on the unreliability front. E.G., the 2020 polls were significantly inflated in favor of Biden versus the actual results on a state-by-state basis. Biden or Harris particularly stand no chance against Ron DeSantis who doesn't have Trump's baggage and is 30+ years younger. I dunno... I just think you are misreading the room in terms of today's political climate.

As far as Warnock being a member of the clergy, I am adamantly opposed to religion in politics but there are those who can still be religious -- even members of the clergy -- yet not impose their own doctrine in creating laws for the rest of us. He also has something Biden and Harris do not: charisma.

I would really rather not have Gavin Newsom. He's my Governor so I ought to know.

I would vote for him after voting for someone else in the primary.

I guess my disinterest in Newsom stems from the impression I have that his vision organs appears to be located down in his trousers. Too much like Bill Clinton and Gary Hart.

Low level vision demonstrated by the fact that he couldn't see any higher than this:

Don Jr apparently has that same low trouser zipper level of vision problem that Gavin has. I would wish to not have to vote for either of them.

Biden test positive for Covid. I got it about a month ago for the first time. I had mild symptoms as well, vaccines and boosters work.

My daughter is married to an Airman and they both voted Biden. My other daughter is progressive and she voted Biden/Harris and says she will vote them again unless somebody else comes out of the woodwork. My wife is Republican but she said "She does not recognize the Republican Party anymore" She voted Biden/Harris and will vote them again in 2024. Almost hates Trump and does not like DeSantis at all. I do not know where these people are for the polls saying Biden is so underwater.

Just because Biden is the lesser of two evils doesn't make him good.

There is a LOT of people wo voted for Biden that don't think he is doing a good job as president.
A lot of those people would vote for Biden again even if they don't think he did a good job, if DeSantis or Trump is the other option.

Your president made a happy plate!!!!!!! Big boy!!!.....and the rest of the world trembles in fear of the might of the US! Between this and our delegates to the Paris freak show, it is amazing why we have not been invaded yet.
