So, I’m watching the press conference with Trumps doctors and something shocking has come out nonchalantly.

Trumps doctor said that we are 72 hours into the diagnosis. Another doctor said that he was given antibiotics 48 hours ago.

That means that he was diagnosed as positive on Wednesday.

They’re all over this on CNN.

If we find out that they misled on the timeline and he went out and did the events knowing he had it.. man I don't even really have words for that right now.

Yep.

On Sunday of this week, I had a mild cough for most of the day. I felt fine and could have easily been at work, but Monday morning, the cough was still there.

So I informed by bosses, went and got tested, and quarantined until I got my results on Tuesday afternoon.

Any other year, I would have popped a cough drop and gone to work because it felt like no big deal. But this year, I didn’t go in, solely because I care about my coworkers and couldn’t live with myself if I went to work, was positive, and spread it around to my whole office.

Contrast that with the president.

I mean tbf, everyone should probably take these press conferences with a grain of salt. 1.) It’s processed through the Trump administration, doctors under HIPAA and faced with national security/major economic concerns will be picking their words carefully, like refusing to comment on oxygen use. 2.) We already know based on reporting that they have misled up to this point to preserve things like optics, calling the symptoms mild when it was more accurate to say they were mild but progressing, and that they wanted to provide the public with an image of the president looking fine so they did that carefully coordinated video and walk. 3.) Even in a well run, well intentioned administration it would probably be unwise to spook the public, which doesn’t mean lying outright, but for instance, doctors kept saying for a decent minute at the hospital after the assassination, that they were “working on” JFK even though half his head was blown off.

My guess is that the real story will be told through leaks and what we get in the official press will be the rosiest picture they can paint. And subsequently that is the picture Fox News and his propaganda network will run with and animate their punditry hot takes around. Which will of course flow down to his death cult and they will once again run into the ongoing problem of reality not reflecting what their “news” tells them if the propaganda doesn’t stay aligned with the reality long term. With all the fun that entails.

If the gloating media, public, and politicians would pause for a moment, they might realize this event could be a catalyst towards their goals, healing and sanity of the nation. That should be the important thing.

It's a lost opportunity, and a reflection of hypocrisy. The nation isn't less divided and healthier than it was a few days ago.

Given the events of the last 20 minutes, I'm going to have to slightly adjust my view here because clearly, it is being shown that the "gloating media" has every right to gloat and point fingers. We already knew that the trump administration lies regularly. Now, all of the well-wishing is being spat on with the revelation that they have been lying even about the whole Covid-19 infection of trump. This kind of revelation sucks away any kind of compassion. Time and time again, they are showing that they deserve exactly what they are getting. They deserve this shirt.

These people are colossally stupid .. watching the press conference a few minutes ago, the main doctor , Trump’s physician, was asked twice “Has the president been on oxygen at any point?” and his answer was “That’s right, at the moment he’s not on oxygen, that’s right!” With a big stupid grin on his face.. i am not saying that Trump and his people ar the first in politics to ever lie, far from it- but they are in a league of their own in re to the CONSTANT stream of lies and half truths, and in their glib TRANSPARENCY with the lying.. No wonder they are known as deplorable, it’s a very fitting word.

Where the leaked stuff gets called fake news and his supporters develop their alternative false reality. Where Trump is fine, this is all a nothingburger, the lib media is just wishing death on him, more reason to open everything up etc.
