It’s so repulsive to see people cheering for what is basically 80% the same thing as the Holocaust - different end result but otherwise very similar.

Economists have said it would tank the economy and cause inflation - notwithstanding the cost.

Is it going to actually happen or is this Build The Wall 2.0?

hows that working out exactly for you
When I learn that criminals are rounded up and returned to their original country....CRIMINALS...then it is working out well for me. When I hear illegal migrants MIGHT go to Gitmo then it NOT working out for me.

Wrong. I just elaborated. Check it out.

    Deuteronomy 10:19

The alien who resides with you shall be to you as the citizen among you; you shall love the alien as yourself, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
    Leviticus 19:34

‘Cursed is anyone who withholds justice from the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow.’ Then all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
    Deuteronomy 27:19

When they were few in number, of little account, and strangers in the land, wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people, he allowed no one to oppress them; he rebuked kings on their account, saying, ‘Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.’
    1 Chronicles 16:19-22

I was eyes to the blind, and feet to the lame. I was a father to the needy, and I championed the cause of the stranger. I broke the fangs of the unrighteous, and made them drop their prey from their teeth.
    Job 29:15-17

The Lord watches over the strangers; he upholds the orphan and the widow, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.
    Psalm146:9

For if you truly amend your ways and your doings, if you truly act justly one with another, if you do not oppress the alien, the orphan, and the widow, or shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not go after other gods to your own hurt, then I will dwell with you in this place, in the land that I gave of old to your ancestors forever and ever.
    Jeremiah 7:5-7

You shall allot it as an inheritance for yourselves and for the aliens who reside among you and have begotten children among you. They shall be to you as citizens of Israel; with you they shall be allotted an inheritance among the tribes of Israel.
    Ezekiel 47:22

Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another; do not oppress the widow, the orphan, the alien, or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another.
    Zechariah 7:9-10

You have heard that it was said, ‘you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy’. But I say to you, love your enemy and pray for those who persecute you.
    Matthew 5:43-44

I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.
    Matthew 25:35

Truly I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of my brethren you did it to me.
    Matthew 25:40

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.
    Luke 10:27

    Colossians 3:11

Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it. Remember those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them; those who are being tortured, as though you yourselves were being tortured.
    Hebrews 13:1-3

Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the friends, even though they are strangers to you; they have testified to your love before the church. You do well to send them on in a manner worthy of God; for they began their journey for the sake of Christ, accepting no support from non-believers. Therefore we ought to support such people, so that they may become co-workers with the truth.
    3 John 1:5

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “See the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them as their God; they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them.”

And @SteveSBrickNJ had to ignore all of this and quote Jesus in the gospels talking about paying taxes to Caesar as part of his “immigration” policy. Hahaha.

You know Jesus can speak for himself. His focus is Where will people spend eternity? They people on this earth converting to Christianity in the greatest numbers are places YOU might not expect. In Iran and in China. Iran is finding many youths are turning away from Islam and SOME are looking toward Christianity. In Communist atheist China the "church" is underground but constantly growing. Tough life circumstances often lead to people seeking Jesus. It is sometimes God's will to put people in tough life circumstances so they will seek His face. Dignity is nice but trusting Jesus as your savior is better.

    Yeah, and there's this.
22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

26 Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. 27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

WE...the United States of America have the Statue of Liberty ( given to us by France) as a symbol that WE WELCOME foreigners to come here and embrace our country's laws and enter our melting pot. Trump is FINE with that. Our government's laws are fine with that. Evangelical Christians are fine with that. THIS IS REVEIW: MY WIFE GREW UP IN INDONESIA AND CAME HERE LEGALLY AT AGE 25. I know plenty of other people who came here legally. It's all cool. WE the United States of America HAVE A LEGAL PROCESS for entering our country. People are invited to use that.
Trump is focused on deporting ILLEGAL people. If he could do that in a humane way then that would be great.
    I'm done for today.

That bolded part is a total lie, Steve. If Trump, the government, and others were fine with it, wouldn't they give these people a chance to gain citizenship and officially become part of this country?

For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

One of the first thing Trump did was rewoke asylum visas of people already on the way - who had been going through the process for years and were thouroughly vetted.

Yep. He just pretends that Trump is doing this for the good of the country when that couldn't be further from the truth.

Misc. stuff from Steve: 1) John the Baptist was arrested...jailed unfairly and Jesus did not intervene. 2) Jesus was law abiding and He is the same...yesterday, today and forever. 3) I personally am NOT in favor of people who merely came here illegally for a better life...if THAT is THE ONLY ILLEGAL thing they did...I am very much AGAINST those people being sent to Gitmo or any similar facility. Deport them...fine...Gitmo...No.
Trump is sending them to Gitmo right now. I just read about a young man from Venezuela who came here in December and immediately made his appointment to claim asylum. Never broke a single law, as that is a legal way to request asylum. He’s now in Gitmo. He appeared in a propaganda photo that Noem put out and his sister who lives here recognized him. He hasn’t been allowed to contact anyone in his family.

This is what you are supporting.

Just out of curiosity, suppose your wife lied about that?

I've read articles about people getting fake documents, telling everyone that they are legal and because they 'speak well, act well, look good' basically because they don't look or sound what people "think" an illegal person looks and sounds like no one questions it

    How would you react?

No. I have said on a previous day and once again today that I do NOT support that.

Today I had time to debate all of you because I was off work. Tomorrow back to work. While I have your attention, there were people on these threads who told me TRUMP HAS DEMENTIA. or TRUMP HAS SUNDOWNERS. Clearly those people were wrong. Trump is fielding questions from the media all the time. Often it goes on and on and he answers them without the blank confused expression or glassy eyes I saw with Biden.
