This election nonsense by Trump may end up splitting up the Republican Party. I just don’t see how the one third (?) who are principled conservatives can stay in the same party with Trump sycophants who are willing to sign onto the TX Supreme Court case.

We also saw the alt right types chanting “destroy the GOP” in Washington today because they didn’t keep Trump in power. I think the Q types will also hold the same ill will toward the traditional Republican Party. In fact its quite possible that all the voters who are really in a Trump personality cult will also blame the GOP for his loss. It’s only a matter of time IMO before Trump himself gets around to blaming the GOP.

There is some discussion of this on Twitter. What do you all think?

It worked well for them with the rigged election cries.

But its like he just doesn't get it. How much are the lies about Sandy Hook costing him? but yet he just keeps on with the blatant lies.
I don’t think he has paid a red cent yet. And I read that he is going on his shows and whining about the money and so his minions are just sending in more money to him than ever before. He has tapped into the mother lode. No matter how much it costs him, he will make that up and ten times more from his marks.

Tom Cotton disagrees. He also apparently thinks parties win elections, not candidates.

Hilarious. What he fails to acknowledge is the Republicans who voted for the other major GOP candidate had the choice to vote for Palin as their second preference:

Half of them didn't. And of that half, over a quarter actually voted for the Democrat over Sarah Palin or simply not opting for a second choice.

Tom Cotton actually has put party over his oath of office and his country, so I guess this is consistent for him. Consistently bad, though.

This thread, written by a Republican, shows the problem that Rs have:

This is about 2 months old but very interesting if you didn't see it on Amanpour & Company/PBS. The discussion on collaborators, and why they collaborated with Trump is of particular interest. (Lindsey Graham, Elise Stefanik, etc.) That part starts around 7 to 8 minutes in.

The GOP is now going to triple down on ranked-choice voting being a scam. And the Trumpanzees will buy it.

And then, of course, somewhere (Maine perhaps) a Republican will win a ranked-choice election and they'll be all cool with that.

Because they forking suck - they're the forking worst I'm so sick of their stupid bullshirt.

<Cough> Electoral <Cough> College. 2 Senators for states smaller than L.A. 1 vote in the house for states w populations smaller than a dot in L.A. It's "well it's the law" until they end up w/ the short end of the stick.
