    Thought we should start thread here - over weekend, US carried out strikes against Houthi elements in Yemen in retaliation for their actions in Red Sea.



    Houthi leader issued this statement- no US ships in Red Sea


    Houthis then attempted to strike US Carrier group

    This morning Trump took to Truth Social:



    So any missile/shot fired from Houthi elements in Yemen will be considered coming from Iran. Obviously this is wrought with problems, but we know Houthis will respond and continue attacks.

    So then what does this mean for Iran? Lots to unpack, but seems to me that the NO WAR POTUS is hell bent on getting into yet ANOTHER conflict in the ME. He is backing himself into a corner with statements and we could find ourselves embroiled in ME conflict again.

    So now 2 to 3 more weeks of bombing
    Half of the speech was "never seen before". Almost after every descriptive statement.

    He is mentally gone. If you dont see it or hear it ( his extra saliva, the tangents, and the tone and physical look) then you choose not to.

    Its wildly evident.
     
    Yeah, I saw a post from someone that was watching that said if Biden had done this he would have been pushed out of office.

    Also - I saw a post indicating he said the increase in gas prices doesn’t have anything to do with the war. Did he actually try to sell that piece of excrement?

    So, I think he said that the neighboring countries had nothing to do with the conflict. It wasn’t worded very clearly. And he is obviously lying about gas prices being higher short term. I listened to an economist on a podcast saying that we here haven’t really felt the full effects of the oil issue yet, but that we will in the next few weeks. He says oil prices are going to have to go up drastically and that $200 a barrel isn’t out of the realm of possibility. He says economically they have to depress demand and in order to do that they will have to make the price high enough to really hurt.

    He also said airlines will be cutting back on routes, and some are already. Making air travel very expensive with greatly increased prices also.

    I don’t see any way to avoid a recession if he’s right.

    Yes I posted other day the Iranian "oil air bubble" and timeline it will hit different global regions. We were last. ( around early May).

    Seems like a bad time for us to be cancelling wind farms and solar energy and discouraging EVs doesn’t it? Pretty damn stupid.

    But didn't he say just the other day it's not a war? It was just earlier this week he said he's not allowed to call it a war because he's not allowed to start a war but it's just a military operation.


    Also...the USA has plenty of money. These things are not done because there is no desire to do it....nothing to do with the cost.
