    The football board had the very useful Daily Trump Tracker thread, which was a good place to briefly discuss the latest ridiculous thing that might have ended 97% of prior Presidential administrations even if it didn't necessarily justify an entire thread devoted to it in 2017-2019 (because of the sheer volume of these things). Since I don't see anything like that here already, I'll add one myself.

    When I read the headline, I immediately saw it as a metaphor for how I view the current state of Trump's presidency and it's affect on us. They're both a tragedy and there's nothing funny about either one.

    The wave height in that Lake is insane. I don't know how the boaters on the water surmised it was safe to carry on.

    Yeah, I thought the same thing about that photo. I haven't seen any reports with details about how many boats sink, if people were injured or what went wrong. Like I said, I hope no one was injured and no one was fearful for their life.

    My girlfriend and I spent the morning at the National Civil Rights Museum today and I was mentioning how implementation could revolutionize what's taught to kids on American history. It will need to be pushed by the feds as I have a hard time seeing some southern states willfully adopting it unfortunately.

    Of course Trump is against it.

    I think that was a wake from a much larger boat. According to reports, that is what caused the boats to sink.

    I don't think there is a better comparison for Trump supporters than a large boat wake sinking the smaller boats.
     
    Trump has tweeted a lot, even by his standards, in the past couple of days. And anytime that happens, it feels like a prelude to something else coming out. I know Scummy Scaramucci said last week that more would be coming out and sometimes Trump, himself, is a barometer.
     
    So the original takes I am reading say a couple of things. They say this is a Hail Mary, because she was about to get a deposition. Most likely it won’t work, it’s not on solid legal footing, but it will delay things past the election, which is probably all Trump cares about.

    She has a sample of DNA on her dress from that day and is seeking a DNA sample from Trump, since he called her a liar and said he never met her.

    If by some miracle this works, then the suit will be summarily dismissed, I read. Allowing Trump to get away with things like he always does up until now.

    Personally, it seems unethical for Barr to even try this.

    It is, but Trump fans will think it's totally fine.
     
    I am also reading, and on first thought I agree, that this is a pretty strong indication that he did it, and he knows the DNA will match. She was just days away from forcing him to get his cheek swabbed, and the fact that Barr would do this now when this suit has been going on for years has the stink of desperation on it.

    Well he certainly is not the sharpest tool.

    The vast majority of his problems are of his own doing.

    Like we all know a woman with as much makeup and hair products in use would not want to go stand in the rain. Rather than just accept that he is exceptionally made up he has to take it out on our vets. Our vets were not worried their hair or makeup when fighting for our freedoms for a grown arse man to wear makeup.

    good call. The Woodward book, probably. Quotes (on the record) in the book are nicely displayed in a graphic by CNN.

     


    What's pathetic is his cult following will let him slide or cheer him on for this blatant disregard for the American people's health and well being. If a private citizen did what he did they'd be charged with so many things I can't even imagine.
