The football board had the very useful Daily Trump Tracker thread, which was a good place to briefly discuss the latest ridiculous thing that might have ended 97% of prior Presidential administrations even if it didn't necessarily justify an entire thread devoted to it in 2017-2019 (because of the sheer volume of these things). Since I don't see anything like that here already, I'll add one myself.

Well, there are rumors of him talking about running again in 24. If he does that, he'll need to show that he can get people to vote in GA. That's a self preservation thing because he'll do what he needs to to help his chances.

But covering his butt seems to be what makes the most sense though.
My friend is getting fundraising request for 2024 from Trump. Not sure if he has declared his new campaign already.

Single source, so take fwiw but The White House has reportedly demanded a list of names of people who clapped as a departing Pentagon official left the building.

General guessing I have seen is that the reason for the purge is to either seek and destroy incriminating evidence before any Biden people get in, or seek and take anything at all that they can weaponize against democrats during the Biden administration. 🤷‍♀️

it’s not a coup attempt, seems to be the consensus, but still unethical, and possibly criminal if they destroy records or take classified information.

Yeah, there are a lot of rules regarding classified info and there are real consequences to not handling it properly. That, and officials have to have the appropriate clearance levels to view or handle that info. I'm not sure where this is headed, but it's definitely something that needs oversight.

President Trump is reportedly eyeing his own streaming media channel to compete directly with Fox News amid his administration’s heightened tensions with the conservative-friendly news outlet.

He plans to wreck Fox. No doubt about it," a source with detailed knowledge of the president’s intentions told Axios.

According to Axios, Trump’s channel would likely charge a fee for the service. Fox charges $5.99-a-month for its streaming service Fox Nation after a free trial.

You'd think Hannity and Tucker would be there immediately, but then again surely they know there are legitimate risks in jumping ship and getting involved in a Trump led business.

Their paychecks might be the only ones that clear the bank.

I work for a Fortune 50 corporation and we have audit trails that track all actions on stored data. I would think that the government would have as good or better security that would automatically backup the most sensitive data to prevent destroying of potential evidence. I personally don't believe that anyone associated with trump would have the technical intelligence to actually reach the backed up data and successfully destroy it to the point that the incoming administration couldn't track the audit trail and nail anyone who tried to take data or destroy data.

I mean, the people left in this administration probably think they can delete everything by simply unplugging the computers.

Donny boy went nuts today w/ the rage tweeting and retweeting... but this one was the funniest one by far... looks like Chachi spent his lunch break from stocking shelves at Micheal's to play w/ some candles...

I can assure you, there are people who can and know how to do it. Whether they'd risk their careers to do such is an entirely different thing though. There are some incredibly talented people who work in government, but they're usually smart enough not to advertise it.
