I guess it's time to start a thread for this. We know that at least 140 members of Congress have pledged to join the objection. Under federal law, if at least one member of each house (HOR and Senate) objects, each house will adjourn the joint session for their own session (limited at two hours) to take up the objection. If both houses pass a resolution objecting to the EC result, further action can take place. If both houses do not (i.e. if one or neither passes a resolution), the objection is powerless and the college result is certified.

Clearly this is political theater as we know such a resolution will not pass the House, and there's good reason to think it wouldn't pass the Senate either (with or without the two senators from Georgia). The January 6 joint session is traditionally a ceremonial one. This one will not be.

Many traditional pillars of Republican support have condemned the plan as futile and damaging. Certainly the Trump loyalists don't care - and many are likely doing it for fundraising purposes or to carry weight with the fraction of their constituencies that think this is a good idea.

    Man.
My wife was shock grenaded, gassed and hit in the privates with the butt of an assault rifle here in Portland and no fences were ever breeched.

time to light these fools up

Theres a guy in the video wearing tactical gear, and I wonder if there is a weapon on him.

This guy just accused the Democrats of doing the exact same thing in 2000 and 2004. McConnell proves once again that he ain't :poop:

I have to say, Mitch McConnell pretty much rose to the occasion there. I'm sure Trump hates him more than anyone now.

Cruz: "39% of people believe the election was rigged. Now let me object to the legitimate results and reinforce their delusions."

I think that there should be a rule passed in both houses of congress that states directly that no member of Congress may object to an election that they were also on the ballot of.

In short: If you were elected, you cannot take the position you were elected to while also claiming that election was problematic. Either step down from your post, or accept the results.

Not that I think for one second that would get passed.

I've heard Scalise and Cruz, and neither has presented any evidence whatsoever, just that there are "allegations" that should be investigated (and what those allegations are they haven't said).
The allegation is that there is fraud!!!

On a side note, I have billions missing from my checking account and I've heard that Ivanka has been seen in my bank many people have told me this and I cannot dismiss it as a coincidence that she was there and my account doesn't have billions I demand that the postal service conduct a forensic audit on my bank and hers to determine why my account is missing billions!!!!
