Trump GA Indictment (2 Viewers)

I did not, but they said it was the same one he tried to use in Bragg's indictment.

So reading more about the possibly of removal under the federal officer removal statute, I'm now thinking this might be possible - but not based on Trump's conduct. Looking at the allegations against Jeff Clark, they seem to relate to statements and communications he made internally at DOJ. Even if the scheme was whackadoodle, I don't think a state criminal case can proceed against a federal official for internal communication during the course of the official's work. So the process would be federal officer removal and then a Supremacy Clause challenge.

But that's just for that one allegation. The bigger question is whether that single defendant's removal to federal court brings the whole case to federal court . . . and I think it does (i.e. supplemental jurisdiction). But then if Clark gets dismissed under the Supremacy Clause, does it all get remanded? Removal and supplemental jurisdiction are very wonky and I don't know for sure how it all works. EDIT - supplemental jurisdiction only applies in civil cases. This shirt is so wonky

This is a possibility and if anything, it may shake this case up a bit (with removal to federal court and then possible remand proceedings).

This could go in any of the indictment threads:

It is also telling that the GOP, and its constituency, has consistently criticized trump's multiple indictments as politically motivated but they have refuse to dispute the multiple alleged CRIMNAL ACTIONS that has lead to those indictments. They also ignore the evidence that supported those criminal allegations which MULTIPLE Grand Juries across multiple states found sufficient enough to hand down multiple indictments.

Team Trump, The GOP, and their Twitter Mob all know that their best option is to make these indictments about anything other than holding a career criminal accountable.

Totally agree - Ted Cruz is very intelligent. And yet he regularly makes false and highly manipulative statements and claims. That's one of the hallmarks of a horrible human being IMO. Truly a wasted life.

To think of the thousands and thousands of candidates for Princeton who would have better represented themselves as graduates than has Cruz makes me literally ill.

His name should be removed from anything that bears it.

Read a novel that had a line that addressed this

    Paraphrasing

"If he was stupid I could just dismiss him as a clueless moron. But he's not. He's smart. That means he's dangerous and I have to take him seriously. That's why I hate him"
