@superchuck500 you still have faith in the legal system and the guardrails?

Because im losing what little faith i had left.
The DOJ is a lost cause now.

The only thing that I think could stop all of this nonsense is for the a large majority of the federal government to stand up and say no more bullshirt. I'm not sure how that could happen, but it would require huge organization efforts without giving away the game plan. Don't know if that's even possible.

Department of "Justice" ..... :smilielol:.

The employees of the federal bureaucracy needs to plan a mass walk out day or week. All of them all at once. Just leave all of the political appointments to do everything and let the dumpster fire ensue. Want to fly somewhere? Sorry, no TSA or air traffic controllers. Want to go to a national park? Sorry, they all had to shut down. Want some important business matter handled? Sorry, nobody is there to help. Need VA care? Ohhh, I'm so sorry ... maybe next time. Want the President protected with SS agents ... Opps, too bad.

It would cripple this country. Maybe then Americans will wake up to its importance and place in our society and advocate on their behalf against the current administration of fascist.

Holy sheet, Sassoon decapitated the birch, ran over the body and backed over her for good measure, multiple times.

Slaying with words.
Bondi diminished the DoJ the very moment she issued those memos that described its attorneys as the President's attorneys. From that moment, she betrayed the Office of the Attorney General by declaring an allegiance to an individual and not The United States of America, which the Judicial act of 1789 demands.

Wasn’t sure where to put this
================
Attorney General Pam Bondi is said to be acting as a figurehead, and the Department of Justice is being run from the West Wing, according to a report by The New York Times.

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller is alleged to be setting the agenda for the department from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in conjunction with President Donald Trump, the paper reports.

The Times spoke with 20 current and former officials about Bondi’s first months in office, and reports that Bondi sees her role “as that of a surrogate, a faithful executor and high-volume messenger, compelled to cede ground to empowered players in the West Wing.”

The president has long been known for his love of hiring people as if it were a casting call, and pays special attention to their TV performances, a particular strength of the attorney general.

While she had a reputation as a “hard-charging prosecutor” as attorney general of Florida, since taking on the role of the nation’s chief legal officer, she has adopted a “performative” approach and demonstrated a willingness to execute White House directives, The Timesreports.

This is a noticeable departure from the stance taken by previous heads of the Justice Department, who focused on the department’s independence from the presidency.

“The decisions are being made at the White House, and then they’re being pushed down to the Department of Justice, which is very, very atypical,” Elizabeth Oyer, the department’s former top pardon lawyer, told the newspaper.

Oyer was fired after refusing to restore gun ownership rights to the actor Mel Gibson.

“It feels like she is just performing a part,” she said of Bondi. “She is like an actor, in a way.”

Citing current and former Trump aides, TheTimes states that “it was clear from the start that Mr. Miller, who is not a lawyer, would exercise control inside the department.”…….

DOJ is an executive branch agency. Though it functions far better when it puts the law ahead of politics, it is nonetheless a politically led agency.

It’s not the same thing as guardrails. Certainly the breadth and volume of Trump’s executive abuses are unprecedented and threatening. There are the threads of an emerging constitutional crisis.

I’m anxious and angry. But I haven’t seen enough yet to lose faith in guardrails in the system (yet).

This right here is the problem with DOJ's center becoming too political over legal: the advocacy suffers. And as advocacy suffers, the mission of the agency fails . . . so it is therefore contrary to the agency's mission to value politics over law.

These resignations aren’t just from deep-state staffers at DOJ - they're from ideological conservatives who were elevated to acting positions after Trump's inauguration. And their resumes are strong.

Sassoon clerked for Justice Scalia. Scotten clerked for Justice Roberts.
Now, if we a had a real Congress, Pam Bondi would be the shortest term AG in history.
